I just dont want to trade him. Spent so much and he's started exactly the same way as last year. I would kill myself if I traded him and he came good.

OK so Hutchi just said ont he footy show that although he is named in the back pocket, he wont be playing this week.

But I suppose Hutchi says a lot of things, like that time he "had the inside word on Ben Cousins". LOL.
 
While I agree Hutchi is a bit of a toss, he tends to "mostly" know his stuff.
Could Bowden be this years Gesper? With my backline looking dire I may need to trade him out for Goddard and use the cash elsewhere.

Surely Richmond would be fined for naming him on the ground and then dropping him to the magoos. Why bother insisting they name teams at all if they are just gonna pull stunts like this? I reckon Hutchy is full of brown smelly stuff.

Unless of course Wallace is trying to accelerate his inevitable sacking. Thank god he never got the gig in Sydney.
 
I wonder how Bowden felt last night hearing the news after being named in the side? Wonder if someone could get an interview with him today at training.

It's a Sunday game so the official team sheets aren't due in until 5 o'clock tonight.
 
With that^, while they hand in the official team sheets to the AFL, is the public able to access them?

I suppose what I am asking is it possible for me to find out for sure or not if Bowden is playing before lockout?

Maybe I misunderstood the rule, but I thought that after the teams are lodged on Thursday night, barring injury or illness, the only allowable changes were to do with which members of the extended bench made the team and which were cut.

Sounds like Richmond had decided Bowden was out before handing in the Thursday sheet then deliberately named a false team. I don't think that's allowed by the league.

I guess we'll find out if that's the case...
