I just feel like Pie fans are prone to saying that a player is going to be the next big thing. Seems to happen a lot. Often it's a fair way off the mark: Sav Rocca (great player but was dumped by the club).

Could not agree more on your first point, not only do our players get launched into absolute stardom when they play 1 decent game but more often than not its a player of Anthony's ilk who will never be a genuine super star. Anthony is handy and a reliable kick, but he is never going to be Tony Modra.

Second point on my beloved Sav, he was a superstar!!!!!!!

It will be interesting to see how Anthony plays when Collingwood aren't taking the ball out of the middle like it's a training drill and without any pressure.

He had his best return last year when we lost to north melbourne in round 16 - he kicked 4. He's also kicked a goal in every game he has played.

He's looking like a good third tall. If he gets half a dozen touches, he'll kick 4 goals, and he is hard and chases well. Will compliment Medhurst, Cloke and Rocca/Dawes well.

I dont think hes ever going to be a superstar, but hes a bloody good kick and I like watching him play.

Bloody good mark an kick for goal. Hope he plays week in week out up forward. Will do some damage this season.
