So what does he actually do right, what has he evolved since 12' ?

Some good Academy pick ups, a few nice kids and Buddy. Of course that is outweighed by his personal involvement in recruiting Kurt Moneyball, the worst "boom Recruit" since Diamond Jim Tilbrook and the worst Bloods heck up since Stewart traded generations of Danihers for Neville Fields

I swear we should have sacked Horse and replaced him with Brendan Bolton.

I recall Kurt being in AA form before his body broke down. I also recall Kurt kicking a fair few before Buddy came on board. Wouldnt call him the worst recruit.

Sometimes injury happens, as the many players in the AFL who have had years and years on a list and played 1 game in total would know.

Aliir doesnt necissarily play on brown,he could play loose or he could have reg on brown, aliir on wood and rampe splitting the two, going in with one key tall was 100% the wrong move

from what I have seen of AliirAliir in the last 18 months he wouldnt know what to do last night. And reg was moved on him. Again pretty hard to mark a tall player when you give away height, you know.

Maybe you should email Horse since you seem to know what you are saying?

Exactly. Why have players like Florent in the team at all if we are going to play like that, why draft Stoddart if we are going to play like that.

Because they are trying to evolve the team towards the way modern footy is played but those players aren’t ready to play those key components to the level required?

Horse and/or the club has evidently decided that defensive running is an area we need to focus on improving based on the last few drafts, but then we revert back to the slowest footy the Swans have played in years.

If the top players didnt miss set shots or didnt fluff up easy kicks there wouldn't be this grief and this comment wouldn't exist.

We lost by 2 points, not 200 considering a fair few of our top players are out injured and the ones selected to replace them where 2nd year players or depth players. Buddy playing we would have won the game IMHO.

I get your point, clearly that's the way we're trying to go and I commend the recruiting folks at our club for nailing our exact needs. But why does our style of footy, and every game we play in, feel more congested, and confined, and stagnant, than ever before in the last half a dozen years? Feels like there's a distinct clash between the players coming through on our list and the way Horse wants us to play.

This is happening across the whole league and why theres been so much angst about the state of the game.

Last night was one of the worse games i have watched for a long while on top of all the other nuetral crap games that we have had to put up with in the last month.

Not a good time to be watching rules. Everyone is trying to play like Richmond in the finals last year and its just been crapola.

We have been ordinary all year. We peaked in round 1. Last night was the tipping point for many.
