Long lead in for a handover given he is contracted for a few years more. He was signed up as the list was undergoing a renovation. Club has decided he is the best person to see it through.

6 game losing streak is long enough for some. Even if we win some will complain about the way we won. I'd just be happy for a win at this stage.

7 games actually.

One if those was pretty important as well.

Who would you go with in a rebuild? Rookie or experienced coach? Could burn through a few coaches if we get it wrong and sit down the bottom for a fair while.
We've been rebuilding on the go in a way. Rebuilding has a lot to do with the whole coaching and development staff than the head coach imo.

True we've had 21 debuts since 2014. Longmire is on a long deal but we could turn over a couple of assistants to bring in new ideas.

Brendan McCarthy did a good job rebuilding the Dogs and handed Bevo a true work in progress.

Just one thought. I mean there are options everywhere. That ex carlton guy whose name escapes me assistant to Clarkson is not terrible and I thought hard done by.

I voted to not sack Horse btw.

I want him to evolve and win the players back.

The coach who is currently 0-6 with one of the games great forwards in his prime and cant score over 80 points a game is more accurate

The world's greatest midget coach had Franklin for how many years without a flag?
How many flags did Woosha win with a midfield that consisted of Cousins/Kerr/Judd?

According to you the Roos family of coaches are complete duds and yet they have won 2 flags (+ 1 draw) and played in 8 grand finals in the last 12 years. (2014 was a stinker, 2016 we wuz robbed).

Game plan is but one of the problems. Would probably be easier (not to mention far cheaper) to whisper into Horse's ear that the game plan needs a tweak, don't you think?

McCartney did a great job probably lost the players because he was so tough on their development.

I was thinking more of the Demons where they churned through a few rookies who looked good on paper.

If we were going to get a new coach I would rather it be someone outside of the club tbh, or at least someone who wasn't trained under the Paul Roos academy. I'd like someone who was new altogether and could get us out of this ridiculous culture where being a Blood means it doesn't matter how slow or unskilful you are so long as you're tough and tackle hard.

Our opinions aren't worth much though because Horse is staying for a few years at least

Looking at our youngsters, I think he's rebuilding the wrong way though. We've confused blooding youngsters with rebuilding. He hasn't rebuilt anything. He has the same game-plan and the same mindset as a coach, just with a new batch of personnel. That isn't a rebuild, that's being stubborn and thinking what worked five years ago or three years ago with one team will work now with a different team. This is a key period in the development of a group of kids who could all be freakishly good - Jones, Heeney, Mills, Lloyd, Aliir, Papley, Hewett, Florent, Hayward, Newman - and I just cringe thinking about what being under Horse, who does not value skill or flair, will do for them in the long run

The worlds greatest midget won 2 flags after his best player walked!

Im just saying the reason why people doubt him

He has fallen short more often than not

Prelims arent the goal

No one said dud except for you

You say something made up then attack it
