But who here would know 100% certain? not me!

To say that Johncock is a little out of form would be an understatement. I can appreciate that all players make mistakes, but his clangers seem to come at the worst time, and they are hurting us alot. Maybe a couple of weeks in the local league will give him the confidence and mental break that he needs.

All the best to Stiffy. Obviously needs some time away to work through some issues. He'll come back bigger and better no doubt.

Unless someone knows the full story I think we should go a bit easy on Stiffy. The Crows have been known to go over the top before and Id love to know the full story til we start asking whether or not Stiffy wants to play AFL footy.

Johncock needs to decided what he wants to do, play AFL for the Adelaide Football Club or keep messing about.

I think you'll find that most of his "best mates" are actually Port Adelaide players (Burgoynes, Motlops etc). Werent there strong rumours 4 or 5 years ago that he wanted to go to Port and had sought a trade? But since then he's pretty much been a regular in the crows side and nothing has been mentioned since.

I agree with backing off abit!!

Johncock has been in poor form lately, and i think that is enough for him to be dropped for a week..

They also mentioned that he had some personal issues which have been mounting up and caused him to miss a club function the other week.

I have no problem with him being dropped, as i dont think we (as fans) need to accept less then 100% effort when someone is picked, but I also don't think we need to be critical of him and start saying that he needs to pull his head in etc etc!!

He probably missed one of the hundred functions he goes to a year and we are all speculating he is on the grog. I reckon Graham is a good guy and we all have our faults. Its why they put rubbers on the end of pencils, we all make mistakes

Graham has supported the crows since he was a young child and has not wanted to play for anyone ever. And no he never sort as trade to the Power.

For the record – he missed a team meeting because he was at a family funeral in Port Lincoln and mistaking forgot to inform anyone until it was too late.

Thanks for that C98.

That's probably part of the overall issues - Rucci referred to personal issues off the field that were affectng his training and match performance.

For the leadership group to approach the selectors and request one of their favourite team-mates to be omitted would suggest that Stiffy is suffering quite severe personal issues and not applying himself as he should.

Wasn't he going out with Natalie von Bertouch?? Is that relationship still intact??

Pretty sure that ended a couple of years ago.

Shuan Burgoyne said the same thing when he was on ON THE COUCH. They asked him about how Johncock felt about going to the Crows when his cousins were drafted to Port and he said that Johncock wanted to go to Adelaide and has always supported the Crows from when he was a little kid.

I have heard a few stories that Shaun also supported the Crows. Also that he was a little disapointed when looked like going to the Power as they had the first pick over us. Not 100% true but heard it from a close friend who played with him at the Magpies. Plus another source.

Stiffy definetly a Crowie. Knew that even before he played for us.

Kind of glad to hear the trouble relates to a funeral (not happy for his loss) and not mucking about in a pub or nightclub. If he stayed back he should be allowed to have time to grieve. However it does show the strength and single (goal) orientated mindness of our leadership group.

All the best to His Hardness........hopefully he can get his mind right and get back out there......:thumbsu:
The poor guy. I feel sorry for stiffy now. He has to put up with a lot of different names.
Apparently he is out for disciplinary reasons. I am trying to work out what the heck he actually did.
