Warmed my cockles to see him on the Footy Show. He is a credit to you. Much owed to him for his sticking up for us. We are the little guy here thanks to Aker's media whoring and Browny has shown that aside from being a champion footballer, he is likely to be a champion bloke.

To J Brown:

:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Two thumbs up.

EDIT- Jonathan Brown. My bad.

Anyone got an footage of Browny/Aka on the footy show last night? Bit hard to watch it from France.

It was so obvious that Newman was trying to cover up for his indiscretion but acting as Aker's mouthpiece (no mean feat)... glad someone had the testicular fortitude to call it like it was.

Yup. The double entendre was quite ugly to watch to be honest.

For me there was one thing that struck home. When Sam went off on his rant he claimed he'd overheard the info Aker leaked indirectly, from another conversation. Aker spoke about this many times, and on only the first occasion, after he caught himself about to say "I said to Sam" and changed it to Sams concocted load of shit, did he actually bother the cover story. Three or four times, one where Sam appeared to try'n let him know what he was doing with a little nudge, Aker simply said "All I did was tell a mate".

If that isn't obvious enough the two are colluding to feed us all a bunch of bullshit, I don't know what is.

Yeah I thought the same thing, but I don't see how this new version of events exonerates him. He has still admitted to telling confidential club information to Price and now we are led to believe this happened in a location that could be overheard by other people.

And Aker wonders why people think he's the leak.

Yep, he either told Sam directly, or he told Steve Price. That cannot be disputed.

A leak is still a leak, even if you say "sssh.. don't tell".

Last night he tried to spin his predicament into sounding like there was an 'Akermanis witch-hunt' by the Bulldogs.

He glossed over telling Steve Price and Sam Newman club matters (which he was sacked for) instead focusing his attention on the fact that he had to stand in front of his team mates and hear some home truths. I find it quite ironic coming from someone who has built his reputation on "telling it like it is".

To even air all this dirty laundry in public, like he has denotes the class (or lack therof) of the man. For all his indiscretions, Fev at least admits the fact that he is an idiot and cops his whack. How Aker refuses to acknowledge his contribution towards his own demise is completely mind boggling.

Sorry TBD But I normally agree with almost everyone of your posts. This time I don't. Steve Price is Akermanis' manager. I agree that things in the club should stay in the club, but his manager has the right to know. Especially if there is "work place bullying" going on!

As for Sam "hearing", if he accidentally heard well thats stiff, but i believe like most that he was told!

It has been a while since i last posted but JB showed why even through such a difficult year he is a great Captain of our club.

Dismissed Newman's rant and only commented on Brisbane issues. When asked he did not shy away from the decision that was taken. Had a great night in what was compelling.

Campbell Rose handled himself well also

Steve Price is Akermanis' manager.

Steve Price is not Akermanis's manager. Steve Price is a journalist and a MTR radio presenter who works with Aker on that radio station.

Steve Price is: A Journalist....... MTR Presenter AND Akermanis' manager!

FACT!!!

I was wrong. Good call.

That is a bit of a conflict of interest then, really.

[sarcasm]Everybody loves Eddie, though [/sarcasm].

Steve Price shouldn't be a journo and player manager simultaenously. Especially seeing as Aker can say he was divulging the information to his manager. His manager who happens to be a radio presenter who has a show with Aker. This means Aker is leaking info to a journalist. Especially given Steve price is a known w***er who would use the information.

Can't think of another footballer I'd rather have a beer with than Brownie.

Champion bloke....:thumbsu:

Shame there is no footage of Browny there but as for Aker and Sam Newman - wow. Just wow. I've never thought much of Sam Newman but his conduct in this whole sorry saga is just disgusting. He himself has clearly over-stepped the mark but his response is to ridicule anyone who disagrees and call the Bulldogs 'corrupt'. What a tool. And I still can't believe Aker thinks he has been wronged, when it's a near exact scenario to 4 years ago at the Lions. Most people learn from their mistakes .....
