I think you've pretty much confirmed you haven't seen the incident.

Both were pushing/hitting other in those tough ways players do these days, and Lewis went too high and collected the head. He deserves his weeks but let's not make shit up here.

The bloke is a champ. Yeah he's done some dumb things, but he done anything seriously nasty.
B&f in a premiership year from memory, consistently played at a high level, 4 flags as a starting midfielder, and played well in three (was crook in 2008).

He's been a champion player with a bit of a nasty streak and a hot head temper.
He plays his best when he's right on the edge but he occasionally steps over.
You have to take the good with the bad with Jordan, but the good overwhelmingly eclipses the bad across his 12 year career.
He plays like an 80s footballer in a much more vanilla era.

Lewis is a great player who isnt quite as good or as dirty as Luke Hodge.

Both players have been allowed to get away with murder over the years , and I expect them to go out swinging Alistair Lynch style as they reach the end

I'm disappointed he's going to be out for so long, even more so with Hogan. But Carlton players were playing the push and shove game and I really think Hogan was aiming for the chest and accidentally flushed Rowe who leant in to to it and Lewis was aiming and made contact with the shoulder and then followed through in to the jaw.

If you're niggling and shove a bloke you can't be too upset if he hits back. It's only in the AFL were there's rules that say pushing and shoving is ok but punching isn't. In a lot of other sports you'd either be able to do neither or both and in life you wouldn't walk down a street and starting getting in someones face.

Not defending their actions in terms of getting suspended but hardly can say it's a dog act.

There's a reason why most players don't go around cracking opponents and it's not because theyre not tough or because they don't want to win..
