Tend to agree. If it turns out Caddy is open to several clubs and it turns into a bidding war, no big deal. Everyone is just assuming that the teams with better draft picks than us will use them on Caddy.

I rate him and would give up pick 14 on its own but not much more. It would be interesting to see where our recruiters rate him if he were in this year's draft pool.

carlton have put a lot of dollars into this from what I'm hearing. They have offered a longer contract and more dollars than both The cats and Us. the people who I have spoken to have said that us and geelong had put forward very similar contracts, except that we had better incentives if he was playing good footy.

There will be very good players available around that mark and even #14 should net a beauty.

A few things to remember re Flash:

- He didn't exactly have a tremendous season, so his incident may have very little to do with him being shopped around.
- scottywiper hates him.

Tippett & Petrie in the same forward line could be very potent.
Not to mention Thomas, Hansen & Tarrant are coming along nicely.

Carlton are nuts if that's the case. They need a forward. Just because they have cash kicking around from failing to attract one doesn't mean they should go all out to prove someone wants to go there.

I would've thought you'd want to play for the club you supported your whole life. Dunno, maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Caddy's goal on the GC from 50 out on the boundary was a better set shot than all our young mids this year, except maybe JZ v the cats. It was a clutch goal and tight angle, I watched from just 5 rows away. He did not even flinch as "Chewy on your boots" echoed through the stands. It was from that moment that I knew he was destined for greatness.*
