He was on the money with what Tippett was going to do, that has made me a little more optimistic.

Trade week starts on monday and goes for 3 weeks. I'd be tipping we would know what he thinks by the end of next week.

You would think the Suns would know what he wants to do before the talks start monday morning, which i guess could be why some news of it leaked prematurely.

I am still not going to get overly excited until the name goes on the trade board.

Eggsactly, you see 90% of the media stories surrounding North over the last ten years have been based on doom and gloom. It's a difficult task for some to be positive about our future. And signing a Caddy ( if he nominates us ) will cause serious angst amongst the North bashing brigade.

* I hope we play hard ball like never before, offer Gc our first pick and if that doesn't suit, go to GWS offer them our first pick they take Caddy in the pre-season he can spend a season at Werribee and they trade him to us for nicks in 2014.

Basically giving GWS a first rd draft pick for a pre season one. GC would spew.

Not to sure how Caddy would feel about playing in the VFL for a whole season compared to playing in the AFL which he is doing now....

Interesting to note a new twitter account created supposedly by Mav Weller confirms Tony Sheahans rumour that Caddy has nominated North.... but also says that he has Nominated Geelong as well

Strange, that account seems to exclusively post official stories (with links to articles). That's the only rumour they've posted.

Who is to say he didn't choose a club a long time ago but the parties have been in discussion without making it public? I don't think there was anything wrong with him listening to other clubs, in case there was issues with us being able to get a deal done with GC he would want to have a contingency plan.

Definitely. It just makes more sense that he would go to a club he has family that played with and family supports if all other factors are fairly equal.
