I'd prefer a mature ruckman of Fraser's age rather than a kid (or as well as a kid).

If Fraser was to come for absolute peanuts (i.e. 32095832095th rounder) and was willing to sit at Bendigo, sure.

If not, we'll take our chances on a state ruckman.

Bellchambers is better than Fraser. There is no point in you guys getting Fraser, you have 3 guys in Hille, Ryder and Bellchambers who are definitely better in the ruck.

Fraser's body is shot and he doesn't have the mobility and speed he once did. Lacks body strength and aggression, and won't be effective as a key position player anymore.

As a ruckman you have to be either athletic enough to jump, or strong enough to use your body in the contest (ideally both obviously, but you need at least one). Fraser has neither. He can't jump these days, and he has no body strength.

Hird will know better.

Didnt read anything about this on the Herald Sun website today.... not sure if its totally true.

Dodoro has said that if anything we will draft another young ruckman (probably spelling the end of Laycock and possibly Bock at the club).

Would only have him if it was in the PSD....

we'd be silly to get rid of bock. for no other reason but when we recurited him we knew it would take 4 years, not 2, to get built up for AFL.

As for Fraser, not even Hawthorn would want him

Fraser would not go to another club, so he can play in the VFL. He can do that at Collingwood. Essendon already has two established ruckman in Hille & Ryder.

From an Essendon perspective, it makes no sense in delisting Laycock (Longy ?) and picking up Fraser. Both are in similar point in their career.
