I think i have figured out the reason behind josh hunts poor for so far this season, Its plain & simple, Wearing number 8 has finally started to take a toll on him, Why you ask ?, Its because ex cat superstar David Haynes use to have the burden of wearing it & because of the 2 stellar seasons he produced playing in the cats forward line, I guess josh just feels that he will never be able to live up to the exciting brand of football mr haynes gave to the football world & seems to be having alot of trouble filling in the shoes that were left behind.

Was this the dud we got from West Coast? Like White and Spinks.
Josh Hunt wasn't too bad in the VFL side on Sunday - I did not see any of the silly short passes that miss targets - some good long kicks which he excels at.

Josh Hunt was not the worst player against Hawthorn by along way. I still think he is an important player to our side.

Could be a lot of changes this week.

Possible Ins this week:
B.Ottens, T.Harley, S.Johnson, J.Hunt, J.Rooke, K.Tenace

If Hunt was in on the weekend, could we have played him on Edwards, Scarlett on Petrie and Mackie up the ground a bit? Moot point now, but those match-ups would have favoured us a bit more IMO.

Max Rooke will not be playing for an few weeks yet. To my understanding he injured his hamstring (the other one) and has gone/went to the AIS (Canberra) to attempt to find a reason behind his recent injuries.

I am prepared to be missing Rookie until approximately Round 10-12.

Reports from the Coach's night are that Hunt was not doing things that he'd been asked to do by the coaches and that's why he's been dropped. He's been told to go back to the VFL and work on them.

Josh's problems will take longer to fix than one week in the VFL.

I think Rooke is a fair way off returning. Agree with the other inclusions.

did they say what?

Not sure - I wasn't there. I was reporting 2nd hand comments I'd read elsewhere.

I saw some of Hunt playing in the VFL at the weekend and a couple of times I saw him tackle really aggressively. So aggressively, in fact, that on one of the occasions he gave away a free. Perhaps that was one focus. I imagine there were several.

I would think marking his man better would be one. He seems to lose his man too often.

The other may be using his kicking in a more damaging fashion. He's a great kick but he often chooses poor options.

Josh has always had problems.

Delist material.

OK then, exactly which players in our side do not have problems? The guy is in a form slump at the moment but has given 3 very good years service to the club, and you call him delist material?

Look sunshine, there is no such thing as the perfect player, they all have problems in their game. Why post such an unconstructive comment anyway? In comparison to other players in the club, especially smaller defenders, who is ahead of him??? This is the first instance of Hunt beind dropped, while DJ and Wojac have been dropped many times....

Its just a matter of time and he will be back. Josh is by far too good of a player to stay in a slump for too long. Same goes for a few others.

I think he's happy to walk away after leaving with his pointless 7 word contribution.
What a great Moderator.

Also delist material.

(My own pointless seven word contribution).
