Not sure how a struggling Port Adelaide has anything to do with Josh Carr considering he doesn't even play for them. Was listening to 5AA and he didn't seem overly upset?

Never really understood this hate towards players who fulfill their contract and then leave.

Clubs are hardly loyal are they? Just ask Paul Medhurst.....

Our mods are very liberal, think yourself lucky you aren't on the Carlton board calling them pathetic.

Our mods are encouraging the banter..... surely we can accept a differing POV? If the banter can only go one way, we need to harden up a bit. Soft.
 
Hoss is spot on. We are encouraging Port people on here by being antagonistic.

Karma is Tarrant kicking two great goals for Collingwood in the last, with Ben Reid dominating down back.

Crying about mercenary players deciding to leave us is just weak.

I did speak too soon :( Taz with 2 last quarter goals and clearly thoroughly enjoys being back at Collingwood.

Try going to another board and calling their mods pathetic.

Seriously, if we can't create banter and enjoy a win on our own board, then what is the point of Big Footy. Do we clap politely when we win and suck it up for the loss ?

I hate Port Power More than anyother team and that includes Collingwood. I have actually met some of their players in person Jacob Surjan is a w***er of the highest order.

Try saying that to a mod on the Port, Carlton, Collingwood, North, Brisbane, Adelaide, West Coast, or especially the Melbourne or Richmond boards. BF rules generally say banter is actually only one way, actually by now three Port fans on here should have had reds. The fact they don't says we give more leeway than every other team board. Which I am happy about, I just don't like "Freo" (??) posters like you suggesting we need to harden up. After all, this board is supposed to be all things Freo, nothing else, so by rights anyone who wants to advance another club should expect to get booted off...

Absolute rubbish. Go back to the behaviour on here of your wonderful Port mates in the years from 04-08 and then tell me why we should be tolerant or accepting of their absolute crap. If anything, the fact they haven't already been carded shows how Dom, Lach and Moo are being decent and fair in giving them a chance. Go post similar sentiments on the Port board and watch how fast you get not just a red but a 30 day red card.

Freo's board is by far the most tolerant team board on BF, and I hope we keep it that way, but I won't stand for abuse like the garbage that was posted above. Port's posters on here hardly deserve sympathy, if anything they deserve more warnings...

Give it a rest. That Port poster had a right to a say, because of the thread title. I just didn't think it was a great thread (although almost everything Moo has posted in the past has been well considered and thoughtful) There's nothing football about this thread. What Carr and Warnock did was shitty, just geez we need to build a bridge. There will be times when players do the dirty on their club and Freo benefit (not that I think losing Warnock and especially Carr hurt us)
I've been around these boards long enough to know what Power supporters used to be like. I had many battles here with PortProudWA and others - way before your time. So don't question me being a Freo supporter just because i don't always agree. That's weak.

I didn't question your Freo faithfulness, nor did I question your support for Freo. My point was instead directed at posters from other clubs, who want to come on this board and run attacks on our club or board.

And, actually, your "battles" were not way before my time, I've seen and watched most of your (actually fairly infrequent) posts on here as I've been on this forum over the years since 2002.

The fact that you have had to put up with the carp that Port "supporters" have dished out to Freo fans on this board over the years from 2004-2009 makes me all the more surprised that you think it is OK for us to have to put up with the posts they dish out on here lately. Moo's thread was fair, justified and very well timed. Joshy Carr himself would approve methinks.

I dont understand this hate for port? Did they used to be d*ckheads on these boards?

When i think of port i couldnt care less about them let alone hate them- we have never really had a rivalry with them- am i missing something here?

Personally I've always found their fans to have the same arrogant dismissive attitude as Vic clubs' fans. Same misguided sense of superiority towards expansion clubs like ours.

As a rule I nearly always barrack for any non-Vic club over any Vic one (with one obvious bluenyella exception of course), but I just can't bring myself to like Port.

The arrogance shown on this board and every other board, in the street, at the footy and anywhere else these rock apes exist is every reason to hate them.

Esti is pretty much spot on. When they came into the comp they were genuinely arrogant about how they were going to dominate the league just like they dominated the SANFL, and TBH they did pretty well in their first 10 years or so. But then it's been a rapid decline both on and off the field (ever since 119) and it is mildly amusing to see their supporters either clam up, disappear or both.

But in saying that, after going to AAMI stadium yesterday I found it hard not to feel sorry for them. I've been to a couple of Port v Freo games there where 40k have shown up, and to see a pathetic crowd witness a pathetic Port side combined with people ringing up talkback after the game saying they're not coming back and you couldn't help actually feeling pity for them. They're a hopeless shell of the club they once were.
 
What was the nickname of the lady..... that used to sit in the cheer squad t the Perth games for Port. She was something else....

One loves the north of Australia, the other loves that shit hole called Adelaide.
Cane toads have more class.
