Answered your post with legitimate reasons why these crowd figures were low, why was last night so low?

Nice rebuttal.

It has nothing to do with this conversation.

But **** it

North were 0-5 and we have a small supporter base and Gold Coast have no supporters in Melbourne. We'll never have the biggest supporter base in Melbourne. Who cares?

What is the point? What does this have to do with Josh Kelly?

1. Saturday night.
2. Interstate opposition with virtually zero Melbourne based support.
2. We're a club with about 15,000 rusted on supporters who go to all the games, even when the club is 0 & 5

As for Josh choosing GWS over North this has zero relevance.

Kindly desist from choking up this thread with your pointless off topic dung.

Saturday night with no other games in Melb is suddenly a shit time slot. Now ive heard it all.

I'm at a loss on some of these arguments. Both expansion clubs were established on blokes leaving big clubs, historical clubs, big crowds, teams in their premiership window etc taking massive pay offers to head off to remote AFL regions for an absolutely minimal chance of immediate success. The contract is the only surety an AFL player has in their career until it ends.

If Josh wants to hedge his bets on a premiership and that is his drive then the Giants is his only choice. If maximising his financial profile is his main spur then that puts North in the picture (and clubs like St Kilda and Carlton if they equal/better it). North holds an edge should there still be an emotional connection between us and Josh.

An AFL career isn't a gift, it's a dream and with only 18 clubs and no realistic indicator of that number changing then no club has more prestige than another. And if the crowd on one game is going to be used as an argument then any family history North and the Kelly's have has to also be given the same respect.

Fact is, none of us know what triggers Josh Kelly as a footballer. Until the day we do know then anybody with an offer in for him is entitled to feel confident.

Honestly the whole thing about North not being a big club brought up in arguments be like

Someone losing an argument with a fat person so they just call them fatty.

Really desperate

It was brought into it by one of your own.

Josh will be playing in front of far bigger crowds at North than he would at GWS.

The argument completely falls to pieces in light of Tom Boyds trade to the doggies.

Yep, a time waster. Hit the ignore button and regain some productive minutes in your life.:thumbsu:

Spot on. Look at Dangerfield. He could've named his price and gone to the highest bidder. Instead his motivation was to go back to Moggs Creek. From all reports he excepted a contract below his market worth to get to Geelong.

Who knows what Kelly's drive is.

"our expectation is that we think discussions are going pretty well"

Translation: The Kelly camp has shut up shop and Matthews doesn't have a clue as to what is transpiring.
I doubt that.Only a fool would think Matthews doesn't know what he's doing.
I do agree refusing to negotiate if Kelly nominates North would be stupid, and anyone who said it will happen is a fool.

So he couldnt be waiting on the new EA then signing?

It is possible to actually want to stay with our club.

He is in Melbourne at the minute - word is will be speaking with family and make a decision this week. If he stays - and I think he will - the extension should be announced in the next few weeks.

At the conclusion of this season Jelly will have spent 4 seasons with us which leaves him just 1 year shy of the total seasons his dad spent at North. This talk of 'coming home' is a little exaggerated. Can someone find me some pics of the Kelly clan at a North function or attending a game?

He has got a preferred team he likes to play as in AFL 2004 ;)
