Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Not necessarily."Emotion" would have renewed a contract months ago.
Pick 3 and pick 11.Sounds like it's time to talk turkey.
As it stands we have pick 3, 11, next years first and next years second to deal with.
I think either of these two are close to the mark.
Pick 3 + 2018 2nd round pick for Kelly
Pick 11 + 2018 1st round pick for Kelly
Which would the Giants prefer?

Care to elaborate? We have three more players to replace in the next three years, a truckload of good kids, millions of dollars in cap space, could easily be 5-2 right now and we just destroyed the flag favourite. Don't just swallow the media narrative, we're fine.
Alright I've taken the bait reel me in you haven't watched north if you think there's no talent. Our forward line in the youth department monsters yours our midfield in youth is same and experience ours are younger but what I will give you is that backline your boys have built thing of beauty. I am assuming you don't watch much of north because let's be honest who does except the faithful north man/women. I like to think I know abit about footy but bringing in a premium 22 year old midfielder is never a bad idea.Hmm.
Not swallowing any media narrative...just looking at your key players...
Waite, Higgins, L Thomas, Goldstein, Swallow and Thompson are all on the poor side of the right age bracket. They are also 'some' of your key players. I don't care who you have beaten or lost to...Carlton beat Sydney/Collingwood...but we're not better than them...to some degree, wins are just about catching them at the right time.
I would agree that Kelly is the right type of player for your side. In terms of prem window, i just watch your list play and can't see players of the ilk of the WBs or Giants...and neither do you have the efficient system of the Crows. I don't see a young talented list coming through like Saints/Dees who are both up and down right now but have some serious talent on their lists. I'm not trying to be personal but see that it is. I dont really eye off any of your players...any at all...but i look over at other lists and would want quite a few of them.
I like B Brown. I like others to a lesser degree too but wouldn't care either way if they were up for grabs. Cunners, Zeibell...some youngers guys...mehe.
The size of the deal invariably determines what sort of picks are handed over. Million bucks a year for nine years means we will be well compensated.I expect
I'll have a crack.
If North can't cough up picks 1 to 4 then I think we will end up throwing in next years 1st round pick as well, along with 5 to 10..
If we end up with 1 or 2 then that will close the deal.
3 or 4 and we will have to sweeten with a swap of this years 2nd round picks.
This is so awkward we are the 2nd youngest list and Kelly wasn't as old as Juddy when he went to Carlton. Super awks but I did like your try there some quality points mixed in with junk. I'll give you a C+There's a reason why North topped up with senior players in the past few seasons - they thought they were close and could snag a premiership against the odds.
There's a reason why North jettisoned all of these old players - they realised their perceptions of their list were drastically off and went into panic mode in an attempt to rejuvenate.
Clubs either need a few years at the bottom of the ladder and some aggressive trading in order to accrue the picks required to build an elite list, or they need to be performing at a high standard/show enough promise to entice free agents. At the moment, North are middle of the road, and have been for the past few years (their prelim appearances notwithstanding).
Acquiring Kelly would be like Carlton getting Judd - he will instantly improve the list, but adding cream on top of a mouldy cake is still just a cream-covered mouldy cake. North should allow themselves to bottom out and rebuild properly, as they should've done instead of delaying the inevitable. Their best case scenario, in the event of acquiring Kelly, would be to fluke their way to a premiership. However, unlike Hawthorn of 2008 or the Bulldogs of 2016, who had young lists that peaked early, North have an ageing core group of players who will be out the door not long after winning said premiership. If North were like those two sides, then this would be justifiable - trying to win one before GWS reaches full steam and wins the next handful, but this is not the case.
The best long term option for success, for Kelly, would be GWS. But if he wants to be home, then one of the last options would be North. This isn't an attempt to be unfair to them; every team has their ups and downs, and it just so happens that North's trough is coming up and it coincides with Kelly's availability.

no he actually is set to sign with north, he said the future is too bright to ignore and can't wait to settle his career at arden streetHey guys sorry I'm late but got news from my mate his dog is best mates with Kelly's dog and it looks like he's signing with north for less money than saints are offering.

North have won 5 of their last 21 games. Whilst they may have a young list, it certainly isn't talented.

There is plenty more trash acquisition to add to this list, but I felt that this was enough. I can assure you that no club is jealous of North's youth, but if you happen to rate them, then I would suggest you join North's list management team as you are clearly as misguided as they were when they took all the geriatrics in.
- 2013: McDonald, Dumont, Brown, Turner
- 2014: Durdin, Nielson, EVW, Preuss
- 2015: Anderson, McKay, Clarke, Hibberd, Wagner, Mountford
- 2016: Ahern, Hrovat, Williams, Simpkin, Watson, Williams, Larkey
It was talented enough to beat St Kilda on one of those 5 occasions.
Go figure.
Im sure each clubs wikipedia pages are really high up when players choose on picking a team.Josh's trade choices.
1) North. The club his father played for and the club he grew up supporting + 9 years x $1,000,000 + A rapidly rebounding developing young list.
2) A club with whom he has no connection that has a history so bad they include write ups of their reserves and under 19 premierships in order to fill up their wiki page + 6 years x $1,000,000 + a young list that has been a slooooow burner.
The choice is that there is no choice. It's option 1.
Ten of them are currently in our 22, two were emergencies, one was rested and three were injured in a game where we demolished the top team. Every single one of them is still on our list and only two of them are top ten picks. Pretty happy with that mate.
Your good at this.no he actually is set to sign with north, he said the future is too bright to ignore and can't wait to settle his career at arden street

One game does not a team make. Let us not forget that the 2000 Bulldogs and 2009 Essendon who both only just scraped into the finals beat the unbeatable Essendon and St Kilda sides, respectively.
There is not one young player amongst those that I cited that project to becoming elite with any modicum of confidence. There are many solid players, and many questionable players, but these aren't the types that win premierships. Nor are they the types that attract superstar talent when said talent know that they will be the sole target of the opposition's attention.
Teams need several elite talents in order to win premierships, and considering Kelly would likely cost North's 2017 and 2018 first round picks, it serves to suggest that their only hope is that a player miraculously pulls their finger out and dominates. But this argument could be made by any club for their youth, so it is hardly a selling point to Kelly.
