Haha. Why is it "the only thing that makes sense"?. Because your offering a 9 year deal? Because his dad played 60 games at north 30+ years ago? What don't people understand, success means a lot more to some players then playing for your favourite team growing up or daddies team...

A) he just wants success- stays at GWS
B). He wants to come home for family reasons or money - North have the biggest offer and there's a family connection to the club.
I just can't see what any other club could offer to trump either of those options. It's logical

At the conclusion of this season Jelly will have spent 4 seasons with us which leaves him just 1 year shy of the total seasons his dad spent at North. This talk of 'coming home' is a little exaggerated. Can someone find me some pics of the Kelly clan at a North function or attending a game?
Maybe the Giants can help Kelly's dad with a Job, I'm sure he's converted to being a Giant fan by now. His son has nearly played as many games as he did.....

With the EBA apparently done the good news is we'll know soon enough.
If he doesn't commit to the giants after the EBA terms are agreed, it's obvious he'll be leaving.

Honestly at the figures being thrown about Josh Kelly leaving GWS for North is nothing but a win for 16 other teams.
Quality player but at that money and a likely asking price of two first round picks, it's a risky move at best.

Not in the media. Just the usual social media rumours. I think the Saints are in a very good position to put a good offer forward financially to Josh & trade currency to GWS. To be fair, every club would be having a look at him.

Haven't read the whole thread but a couple of small rumors around that the Kelly deal might squeeze out Dumont and the crows will be circling. Not sure how much cred it has but could see something like this happen. Have to be honest I haven't seen to much of him live but how is he tracking at North?
