thought he was very good, hit the packs ****ing hard. thats what we need. get a good crumber in the side and we're in business.

his agility opposed to hansen is a big factor, he didnt finish off with a goal but he tried his guts out.

impressed.

Much prefer him to Hansen. His work when the ball is on the ground is infinitely better and he also doesnt clog up for the space for Lecc/McKinley like Ash does.

JFK comes out of contract this year doesn't he?

We have to give this guy some game time to prove if he's got what it takes, we sure as hell have been looking for that elusive gun key forward for a long long time and Hansen ain't it!

If we stuff him around and not give him a go he'll be back at the Blues before you can say Dick Pratt has deep pockets.

Dick Pratts pockets got a whole lot deeper just recently.

Probably has much the same emotion as a first game player with the added pressure of having to make an impression more than a rookie would, or return to the WAFL.

Agreed, he hit the packs very hard, in a way not seen in our forward line since>>>(Who?). I thought his couple of very late marks showed a growing confidence and mind set to take responsibility when it mattered.

The start of a long and fruitful journey I hope.

Tbh, he didn't do MUCH more, but there was an improvement.

Did you even watch the game today?

Kennedy took more contested marks and won more contested balls today than Hansen has in his shitty (bar 2006 GF) career.

Seriously

31.25% disposal efficiency..

Kennedy was an improvement, but he took 2 contested marks and 7 contested possessions from 16.

The improvement is he crashed packs and created contests. Hansen did do that aswell, and JK probably did it only 2-3 more times than Hansen. He was good, but nothing spectacular.

And he disappeared for most of the game.

He is much more nimble than Hansen though, which is a good improvement.

Give us all the stats then, he disappeared for most of the 3rd quarter because he played 11 minutes of it, hard to impress when your on the bench.

Where'd you get that stat? Not disputing it just curious to know where to find those kind of stats.

I thought it was a very good game by the big fella. Loved his physicality in the forward line. His nibleness and pace (compared to Hansen) really offered us something up forward. It was all that I was hoping for from his first game, and he delivered.

Someone said his job was made easier by Rivers going off... well, for me, Rivers wouldn't have been off if it wasn't for Josh's absolute Kamakaze attack on the contest which resulted in that contest. It was hard but fair and Rivers came off second best. I don't hate Hansen but I think JK just provided us so much more physicality and presence in the forward line. Loved it.

Our kicking at goal though...........:(:(:(:(:(

a good start today.

wasn't the greatest game ever, but for fakes sake he's not wayne carey (yet!!)....

if that was an average performance for him i think we'd be pretty satisfied.

only downside was lack of goals.

Kennedy did well enough.

Wonder what the reaction would be if Hansen played the same game though - bet there would still be posters saying he should be dropped.

Are you Josh Kennedy by any chance;):D.

If so look in the votes thread, plenty of praise there and personally thought you played well:thumbsu:, keep the confidence up because you showed good signs today. Hahahahaha well thats what I would say if you were JK and I would emphasise that it was a good first game back.

Some stats from todays game: Kicks 13, HB 3, Disposals 16, 7 CP (equal 3rd), Marks 9 (highest)/Mi50 2/Contested 2 (equal highest:o), Goals 0, Behinds 2, Goal assists 1, Inside 50's 5 (equal highest).

So not too bad at all, don't forget kicking to players who dont take the mark does not help your disposal efficiency and he was unlucky with his two shots on goal.

oh god what were you people expecting, some sort of nick rieoldt stats??? he played a perfect first up game, woosh eased him into it and he crashed packs and created a number of contests and chased right up to the wing sometimes...
some of you people must be forgetting how truly f*cking awfuil hanson is of a player.

Signed for 3 years when he came on board I'm pretty sure

Anyway, why on earth would he want to go back to a club that offloaded him to get another player?

Um, if he wasn't getting game time at the Eagles because Hansen was keeping him out why would he stay?

As the Cartelton, he still has mates there and what CHF wouldn't want Judd, Gibbs, Murphy, Stevens, Simpson, Kruiser, Yarran and co kicking it to him?:o
