If you're tackled and do a 360 it's holding the ball. I've seen less paid against plenty of others.
Its an absolute joke, you play WC, spin Judd 360, should be instant free, isn't payed then in the next play a lesser tackle is made and you're team loses the ball.
Its not just Judd, but most of WC team seems to get away with it.

Where does it say that a 360 degree spin is an instant free?

If the tackle had stuck then you'd have an argument...but seeing as Judd broke the tackle cleanly and quickly, what's the problem?

No, he was never being fully tackled anyway. Having said that I called for it at the time...

He was tackled, regardless of how much he was ******ed. Should have been holding the ball.

Its definitely a rule.. i played TAC footy and got pulled up a couple of times for doing a 360 while being tackled and got done.. of course i argued with the ump and said i disposed of the ball and every time i got back "you cant do a 360 while being tackled" as for Judd's instance i think its pretty line ball coz the tackle being laid is a bit iffy..

If the tackle was held after the 360 then yes, but watching that footage the tackler never had a decent grip on Judd so no I don't think it was.

The day that becomes "holding the ball", is the day the AFL becomes a joke.

Not even close to being a free. Check out the actual rule regarding Holding the Football:

15.2.3 Holding the Football — Prior Opportunity/No Prior Opportunity
Where the field Umpire is satisfied that a Player in possession of
the football:
(a) has had a prior opportunity to dispose of the football, the field Umpire shall award a Free Kick against that Player if the Player does not Kick or Handball the football immediately when he or she is Correctly Tackled; or
(b) has not had a prior opportunity to dispose of the football, the field Umpire shall award a Free Kick against that Player if, upon being Correctly Tackled, the Player does not Correctly Dispose or attempt to Correctly Dispose of the football after being given a reasonable opportunity to do so.

Although the interpretations are so cloudy at AFL house, anything is possible.

If you actually look at the vision closely you will notice that he wasn't spun 360 degrees.

But not a holding free kick against him anyhow.

He wasn't held on to long enough.

Should have mentioned that I do not think that particular play should and never be a free kick, simply because the tackling player never really had him, but their is a lot of other instances where he is wrapped up and slung but doesnt get done

i hadn't seen it till then, but heard a bit about it. those who told me said it should have been, but theres no way thats a free kick. if he's held on a bit longer there may have been a good case, but thats play on.
