I've always liked the BGC jumper from about 5 pre-seasons back. Was simple and striking.

Yes! That was very good. I actually own one and wear it quite often, looks much better than the current home design. Not as cluttered for one...another plus for all the royal haters out there, it is navy blue ;)

I actually like the away jumper with the royal blue just the way it is though so I see no problems there. I wouldn't mind seeing the home jumper changed though, perhaps to the same design as the away guernsey with navy replacing the royal, or something more simpler like the pre-season jumper from a few seasons back previosuly mentioned above.

The home jumper should be the away jumper with royal changed to navy. A clash guersney could be the same design as the current away guernsey but with the yellow and royal blue swapped (like the heritage guernsey of the early years).

Anyone want to have an experiment with pictures to see what that would look like ?

I think they're all posted here somewhere. The current away jumper should be fine for a clash jumper. No need to go too yellow except for in heritage round.

Cheers, that's the one!

Brilliant, simple, striking, what's not to like...?

I'd only suggest modify the collars colours to make them consistent, rather than "navy, navy, gold" have the one collar colour, say gold with white outline.

BGC would make for a wonderful preseason/training jumper, as would a modernised Peril.

But there's simply no comparison to:

Nice. hard to believe the club hasn't gone with what the majority of supporters prefer.

(you didn't think you were having this conversation without me, did you? I'm in Canberra, not a coma...)
Same thing.

I don't mind the BGC. Better than the current design, but not as good as the wings design. I'm of the opinion that the best jumpers are the simple and traditional ones, i.e. sash, stripes, V etc. The more 'classic' it looks, the better it is.

I don't think any teams should be going down the road of the original Port jumper. No colour combination could make that design look good.

I love Mr Eagle's designs but the club will never go back to to something like that. The jumpers are too similar and the club would effectivly taking off half the jumper sales they have been used to for a few years now because you might go for 2 jumpers currently, the majority of supporters (think parents here) are unlikely to splash out on 2 of such a similar design.

It's a shame but I guarantee that would be the clubs private line of thinking. Jumper designs the world over are of course based around selling as many as possible to the fans.

but hey, hopefully I'm wrong!

That navy one looks mad. Hopefully the club will come to its senses and use these two. You should email that picture to tehm.

I like the training jumpers(well I think its the training jumpers) simple with the big eagle across the front.

And I agree the royal blue is scary, sometimes it looks like purple and we certainly don't want to move in that direction.

:(

Given the only difference between those and the 1995-99 versions is the new logo, I think they would know.

Not that it's not nice work, which it always is Rod.

Given their history, I expect they'll think outside the square and come up with something obscure (again).

PS Mr Eagle also traced the Preseason Eagle for me on the BGC jumper shown above. He's a man of many talents.

I like the Royal Blue?

IMO we should keep the current design of the away jumper and just have two separate colour schemes. Navy Blue and Gold for home games and Royal Blue and Gold for away games?

It just all seems so easy to me, I dont understand why WC marketing have such problems with it?

Oh and finally...Black Juju is right. Our home and away jumpers will always be a different design to ensure more sales and more profit. That sucks but its also good seen as its good to be a rich club.
