I know he gets blocked and double teamed most of the time, but when he has a clear path and opportunity, he is not leaping.

Are these instructions? Is he Injured? Or just lazy?

Seems to be kruming a lot.

It's probably an instruction from the coaches as he was probably leaping too often for those big marks when he should have been doing the team thing. Played, IMO, his best all round game for the year this weekend and he was doing the team things which was great.

They were talking about it in the commentary, after the first contest of the day when he and Jack flew and no one stayed down, the runner went out to him, from then on in he stayed down unless he was the only Melbourne player to do so.

Jurrah isn't lazy, he works his arse off, he has just been out of touch and playing under an injury cloud that he is now getting over.

He has been pulling out of contests for the last few weeks :(

On a side note, my dad pointed this out to me on the weekened:

Anyone notice how opposition teams just spectate him? He get the ball, bounces in the middle of the contest and run around someone for a goal.... and they just watch him.

Lol

I wouldnt be suprised if one of the coaching stuff didnt have a word to him after the Car game where he just kept going for his marks and going to the ground and being out of the contest.

Now i think he is not sure if he should stay on the ground for the crumb or fly for his marks he just needs to find a balance, cause there was a few times on the weekend where he should have gone for 1 and didnt.

Good point! He does manage to squeeze a bounce in in just about any predicament.

He does work his ass off, he looks magnificent (hard gym work/bulked up) and is a gem. Great to see him back in form.

With Watts creating a contest up forward and if not marking it at least bringing it to ground, i'm happy seeing jurrah waiting for the crumb. Add russian into the mix and jurrah's going to be getting alot of ball in the near future. That being said, when the oppurtunity arises he should still be trying to stand on peoples heads.:D

I think it is good how they have changed his role a bit with Watts hitting good form and starting to draw the ball inside 50 and Jamar/Martin playing as the deep target.

He is a freakish talent and could probably play anywhere if he put his mind to it, but I like this new HFF role, gets him into the game more, there is less pressure on him and he can still take the odd mark but also gets to use his pace and excellent skills.

I think the rest of us are now seeing what many people saw when he first came into the league. He is very skillful and will get by as a key forward but is going to be much more dangerous if we have a strong FF and CHF combination. Between Watts, Cook and a resting ruckman, I reckon we can achieve that!

Has been carrying a minor calf strain for the past couple of weeks.

Been told not to go for mark of the year at every contest also.

I personally thought he looked more dangerous staying down, and our forward line functioned better

I don't not want to see him got for a grab, yet I don't want to see it every contest either
