That's what has kept me going for the last 4-5 years, just knowing how sweet it will be when we are back up the top and thrashing sides like the Carlton of old.

Patience, a new word that has evolved in the CFC evolutionary life-cycle.

Who would have thought!

Exactly jj, who would have thought. I said this in another thread, but for the first time in quite a while, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Could you still see that light at the end of the tunnel if we managed to lose the next 2 weeks like many "supporters" are hoping?

We've shown enough this year to know we are on the improve. Our worst game was against the Saints, but there have been quite a few games where we have had a chance to win (Richmond, West Coast, Kangaroos).

I for one want Carlton to win games, not "lose" so we can get an extra draft pick. One draft pick will not be the difference between winning and losing a GF, which is where we all want our club to get back to.

The benefit that our young future guns will get from winning a few more games will far outweigh getting an "earlier" pick in the annual lottery!

Exactly what im saying, a winning culture and heightened self belief will far outweigh losing to two very average sides and getting a taleneted young kid who isnt yet proven.

Exactly, and thats on the back of not having, Murphy, kennedy, hartlett, bower and edwards. The confidence around the club knowing that these guys plus more draft picks to come into the side far outweighs the possibility of one more pick.

will be interesting to compare the attitude here from this week and next if we lose on the weekend.

I also want to win... I can just feel we are a couple of years away from being a good side again. The youngsters we have, could very well be Brownlow Medalists, All-Australians etc.

Seriously, for the first time over the last few years, I can see the light... I really can.

By the way, bugger the PPs, I want to win in these last few rounds and we can beat Hawthorn, Richmond and if we do, we are a chance against Collingwood in rnd 21.

Unless that draft pick turned out to be the next Judd, Brown or Pavlich.

Wont find any negative comments on this site from me mate, ive been nothing but positive since we landed ourselves in this predicament a few years back... we should all be looking foward and for the positives.

Only negative you could sorta find was 2 years back when i started the call for Houlihan to put his head over the ball... and he is starting too!!

Hopefully we can win a couple more games, there is defintely hope now and not to soon from now we'll be a good team again. Maybe not a premiership side, but good enough to be taken seriously by everyone else.
Go Blues:thumbsu:

If we manage to recruit properly and dont loose any youmg guns then there is every reason to beleive we will be premiership material in a few years, After the last 4 years i dont want to be taken seriously, i want to be serious contenderes. Lets get back to the mighty carlton of old.The AFL and other supporters have revailed in penalising us and calling us rabble, but carlton are raising from the ashes and will again be a powerful and feared club, whilst these other clubs have raised and failed to delivery and will soon return to there rightful positions at the foot of the AFL ladder, GO BLUES.:thumbsu:
