Yes, I understand we were poor today. I was there and sat through the whole thing in a sea of Cats supporters. Yes, I know Yze and Johnstone were poor and will possibly be looking at the axe.

But it's not like we lost a game we were expected to win. I know it's hard to be positive at times like this, but it isn't the end of the world. I love my footy as much as anyone, I'm devoted to the MFC, and it takes up a lot of time during the winter. But it isn't everything. Try and look at the positives from today.

We're a very good chance to beat Freo next week. Jones was great today, the guy hasn't even played 30 games, I think he'll have the Rising Star in the bag at the end of the year (Yes he is eligible). He didn't stop running and trying all day. Neither did Beamer. Beamer was the only reason we had a score on the board at 1/4 time. He showed again he loves playing his old club, and had he had more support and we made a decent fist of the match, he would have dominated.

Whilst Neita and Robbo are out, I think we may have a found a decent replacement in Greeny. His kicking is back this year, and provided he combines that with the hardness he added to his game last year, he could prove very dangerous on the forwardline.

We can still make finals. Whether ND will still be here at the end of the year I doubt it, but we are a very good chance, especially since I'd guess we'll have our full side back and fit for Rounds 8-9. If we can be 3-5 at the worst by then we're an excellent chance.

Positives (if any)

- Jones does look like he will become quite a player, I love watching him play.
- Moloney just goes hard 100% of the time, shows passion for the jumper, gotta love him too.
- Miller is being kept at CHF and he is improving a little bit at a time.
- Bell has turned into a reliable, versatile defender who never gives in.
- Pickett, McLean, Neitz, Rivers, Robertson, Sylvia and Bartram are still to enter the side (that's 7 from our starting 22).
- We were 0-3 at this stage last year and ended up winning our next 12 from 13, to finish in the Semi Finals.
- Daniher is out of contract; either he gets us to top four (unlikely) or we get a new coach.

I wish i could see the bright side of the coin, but its not going to happen.

The dees haven't officially been through a significent 'rebuilding' stage since 1997. It may be time to look at the team and work out a franchise strategy. And we'll have to get Longmire before North do, which will mean us sacking Daniher before too long.

De-list Bizzell, find a million and give that money and number to a fleet footed eagle by the name of Judd.

Right, here's what we do.

- Bottom out this year and get a good young kid or two.
- trade Holland for Jon Brown, Godfrey for Judd and Jamar for Sandilands.
- Sack Daniher and make me the coach. I am an experienced dream team coach and I have a very good record on the playstation. I played a game last night without Pickett, McLean, Neitz, Rivers, Robertson, Sylvia and Bartram, and was still able to sneak home by 87 points.
- Win many Flags!! easy :D
