i agree with skipper kelly. before sat night, we were all the rage, ready for the big run home, and looking at 4th possie on the ladder. Believe it or not, we won the second half against the pies 44-29, and we won the last 1/4. So for one game we played shyte, we were still not hammered on the score board, and that takes some doing. if not for a few dodgy first 1/4's in earlier games this season, we'd be top two now. lets just see what we do against the cats. give the boys and the coach a break this time. theyve done us proud and come through up until now. Karn the bloods...

I agree. There is still hope. Like i said in another thread the thing Paul Roos needs to focus on the most is our 1st quarter tactics. In moderns AFL it is not acceptable for a team to be 30 points behind after the first quarter. Our 1st quarter performances have haunted the Swans for far to long and its time that they fixed it. We would win alot more games if the Swans just started abit better.

Swans are inconsistent (DUH!!)... but this makes it frustrating for the fans & the likes of hall & goodes & leo (the "leaders")... im not bothered with the ins & outs, im not bothered with the game plan... all i want is for the team to get their act together & play footy like a professional well drilled enthusiastic team, obviously they aint doing that at the moment, so they will most probably finish 6-8 (thats being generous)... & we all know they'll very unlikly win the flag from there.... if they play well & get their act together they'll finish top 4 & will be a VERY strong chance at winning another flag.... either way, im gona get p!ssed off when they lose & jubilent wen they win... we played a stinker over the weekend, the players we expected to shine, didnt... the game we expected to win, we didnt... but lets keep the faith!!! remain positive guys!!! keep barry hall in the team, he could turn his form around at any time (goodes for example)... fans, don't leave the ground at 3/4 time... finally, everyone thinks we'll lose this weekend - BUT I DON'T!!! GO SWANS!!!

If swans play the way the did on Saturday night then yeah its over. They had a chance to get into 4th spot and have a real crack at another GF but now they may struggle to make the 8 let alone top 4. It aint over but theres alot of improvment to be done.

Well said, there were certainly some positives to come out of such a shocker. Everyone is so quick to want to bag the team and the coach. Heads up Bloods, a good win is just around the corner.

i think them coming back in the last half showed some good signs, the bloods will definitely come back.

True but there are structural deficiencies ( beyond bad form) that can't be covered for ever !!

The gameplan must evolve and be freshened up with some surprises... what was "bleeding edge" 2 years ago... just doesn't "cut it" anymore.

Still proud of em:thumbsu: for what they have achieved .

AT their best, if they make the 8 they could still give it a shake!

I`d be happy if they won the first quarter, seems to give them the spur to go on!
And hopefully if they play the huddle, they remember to break, when the kicker
is ready to kick, not when he is still fetching the ball!!

A very common scenario when a team has already won the game. The Pies had the game won at half time and could afford to take their foot of the pedal.

Exactly, it happened the last time he played the Pies aswell. They were up by around 40 points at 3 quarter time and we ended up losing by around 13 points.. but at no stage were we in it.
