Very impressed with young Joshy tonight. Seems to have lost a bit of bulk but gained a bit more speed and endurance at the same time. You guys have got a gem here i reckon.

If you weren't one of them you were prety much on your own. All we got before the jud trade from Carlton supporters was how great kennedy was going to be. All we got after the trade was how useless he was and how Carlton had got the beter of the West Coast. If you were tongue in cheek then again i suspect that you were the only one.
Mate let's be honest here, I reckon about 80%+ Carlton supporters rated him very highly and were extremely sad in losing him, particularly given he wanted to stay with us. However, when a player like Judd is on the table, you don't think twice about it.

Despite what you may feel towards our club, our supporters or Chris Judd, we gave you a fair deal. You may not have seen it at the time but we told you and are still telling you. Kennedy will be a gun. Our admin didn't try and screw you blokes over. We dealt with integrity whatever you may think.

I, and many many other Carlton supporters, truly wish Kennedy a wonderful career and hope he make a name for himself. He's a super kid with a big heart. So hopefully he does well..................now Masten and Notte are a different story :D ;)

When Kennedy kicked that ball to McKinley it was simply superb. You cannot teach that stuff. Going to be a star one day and i have backed him ever since there was a chance we would get him in the Judd deal.

shit I wish I was built like that when I was 21...the guy is a ____ing unit! really impressed with his debut for us last night, takes a strong mark, has good awareness and puts his body on the line!

future looks good with him & McKinley up front.

Congrats to JK, excellent first up game :)

What chance that Big Red has played his last game for the Eagles at CHF?

Great game but he should of played closer to goal (he would of been told to lead away from the forward line). He is easily our best mark. Put him at FF

McKinley has the hallmarks of a Lloyd, and is built in a very similar manner (186cm/84kg v 192cm/92kg). By working up the ground, JK creates space for McKinley to lead into behind him, in the corridor.

What that simple plan requires tho, is speedy ball movement from our midfielders.

Great game JK. Keep up the good work!
Also, good to see him flying the flag in his first game. He was involved in numerous scuffles that broke out. Not one to sit in the corner...

Let's hope Mark #9 actually results in him doing something with the ball...

Edit: And before someone stands up the guy... he's doing alright, but I'm kinda drunk at the moment so I'm seeing things for how they really are and I don't give a shit whether I hurt the poor guy's feelings.

Edit #2: Steven Armstrong you are a f****n joke. Thought I'd throw that in there. I could play better than this guy...

Yeah, so apart from Edit #2, my post made no sense.

Well done JK, you were better than I thought you'd be.

Couldn't have asked for anymore really - maybe another goal.

Really was impressed by his agility and second efforts in the forward half - clean marking and endurance was expected given reports around here. Also his physicality when he got in there to help out Kerry in his first game...good specimen, looks like he could do some damage.

Glad he's in Blue and Gold :D:cool:

Filled Hansen's role far far better than Hansen has this season. Showed good skills, timing and ticker. Every week we seem to unearth another youngster to give us a bit of hope.

Now if we only had a midfield:(.
WTF!

With Priddis and LeCras to come back in and Masten getting better every week we'll get there eventually.

I don't think McKinley will ever kick as many goals (or be a long term full forward as Lloyd), that 6cm makes a big difference.. I hope he can be be more of a Brad Johnson or even the now improved Medhurst rather than a Robertson or Edwards...

McKinley actually looks taller than he is on the ground - hes an odd height but it makes him so hard to match up on.

Lloyd, Medhurst and Johnson all play taller than they are. McKinley is the same. I made the comparison to LLoyd in that sense, and also the very technically correct kicking style. If McKinley could kick half as many goals over a his career as Lloyd has, we would all be thrilled to bits. I wasnt really making the comparison in the result sense, but more the way they play the game.

Also, I think McKinley looks a little like Lloyd tbh. :thumbsu:
