Correct.. but one has to wonder why a contracted player keeps having his name raised as potential trade bait (as if re-signing him 12 months ahead of schedule would make any difference).

Interesting that they note he battled fatigue. Is that just interpolation from Bickley's comments recently, or is there more to that story we haven't heard? Kerridge's two months in the SANFL was one of the more bizarre parts of our season. It would certainly make a bit more sense if there was some kind of fatigue issue there.

In any event, good signing given that we don't have many decent picks. Having players like him transition from fringe players to starters will be crucial if we want to play in a premiership in time soon

Securing our future and young players that have shown something. GWS, Saints, Dees and GCS are looking for players with hard bodies and some experience. Trading the Kedge wouldn't get us back into the first round.
