Goes for 35 for the second time in four games, including numerous clutch baskets and freethrows down the stretch to ice the game (against a smoking Michael Redd). Has had a few down games too, but to do what he's done in his first 20 games as a pro (20ppg, freakish game-winner against Atlanta, numerous 4th quarter displays) as a rail thin 19-year-old with little help and getting doubled teamed each night as a minimum, is pretty impressive.

This guy is going to be stupidly good.

Tbh, he hasn't really been doubled teamed much at all in the games I've watched.

But yeah, he's a freak. Watching him in college was a treat, and once he figures out the NBA game, he'll be fantastic.

Durant will be a stud!

Which begs the question, will Portland once again regret overlooking a stud swingman for a big?!

Will it come to bite them in the backside like the Jordan-Bowie **** up?!

I know Oden is a highly talented player but this kid has been having all these injuries at a very early age. Knee problems at 19 aren't really a great sign. Its going to be interesting to watch this one evolve over time.

it should be alright, with all the great practicing/technology to help players get through injuries.

durant will win roy and will get better as year goes along

5 blocks ladies

his a chucker, he needs to stop forcing those hard shots, apart from that his awesome

Yup he's still playing college ball sometimes. Playing JJ Redick style which brings his percentage down but when he clicks to pass instead of taking a poor attempt he'll be an absolute gun.

Just on Simmons, you can tell if he's making a reasonable assessment or just filling Simmons-style humourous, yet superficial, calls. For example, I think he tanked a lot of last year. In this instance, he's probably on the money.

Easily the best young player I've seen... and Ive been watching ball for a looooooooong time [ when nba games were on the abc :(]

Getting it done again in the fourth (admittedly it's only the Knicks).
