This guy is a supposed whale expert, but his interview is not very convincing. In fact it is quite funny.

"...for whatever whale reasons..."

"...it behaved in killer whale fashion..."

"...it doesn't have any hands..." :D

Note: I am not making light of the death of the trainer, but rather the bizarre response from this 'expert.'

Last name Whale, First name Killer. Like a sprained ankle boy he aint nothin to play with

"Because they're so intelligent they don't do things accidentally."

Hahahaha, "it doesn't have any hands". ****ing classic!

"He decided to do this, as opposed to keep swimming around". No shit!

Clearly he attended the school of whalery.

Strange how he says that this attack should increase the popularity of Killer Whales because people now know this story. WTF? Surely it would be the opposite.

I can't see people rushing to jump in a tank with them now or try to buy one for a pet after this incident. Pretty sure the popularity of stingrays didn't increase after Steve Irwin was killed by one.

I got bit my a hamster once. I took him out the front door and punted him. He flew across the street, over the neighbor's roof, over the neighbor's back yard into the property beyond. A world record hamster booting if they measure those sorts of things.

It was certainly premeditated. Not by the hamster though, because he didn't really bite me. I'm afraid I made that part up.

What a tragic story for the trainer who was killed, but really, are these whales really "made" for putting on shows like these?

I believe, that this tragedy could have been avoided, if they didn't use these animals in such a way. They should be left in the wild, if that was the case, the trainer would have been alive today.

"Now there's this killer killer whale cruising the beaches" No mate, it's still just a killer whale. When a murderer kills someone they aren't then called a murdering murderer.

At least we now know they're larger than Dolphins.

It also seems as though it could've been avoided if she had short hair

The Zodiac Killer Whale!

Probably wouldn't be as hard to track down as the real Zodiac serial killer, given that he is a massive black and white mammal that lives in an enclosed tank at Sea World.

You could also call in Ace Ventura. :thumbsu:

The trainer would also be out of a job as can be seen in the following alternate reality job interview scenario:

Potential Employer: So what are your skills?

Killer Whale Trainer Girl: I'm a killer whale trainer girl.

Potenial Employer: There is no such thing. Killer whales are left in the wild in order to avoid tragedy. The Coiler rule, ya know.

Killer Whale Trainer Girl: Oh ****! I guess I'll be unemployed. I'll live in a cardboard box under a bridge until, in my desperation, I'll turn to prostitution. I'll develop a savage drug problem and then find myself strangled to death by a deranged killer john.

Potential Employer: Alright then, best of luck to you. Do stay away from those killer whales though. Every fifty years or so, one of them will snuff someone.

Killer Whale Trainer Girl: I'll give you a blow job for fifty bucks.

Potential Employer: *reaches for his wallet*
