It's official and apparently we don't have to wait long. This looks a lot darker than the first game. I wonder how Henry will play from the start now as a seasoned warrior? Also given the first game was Kickstarter backed and had several stops and start I'm expecting a more polished game in general. Keen.

February is absolutely crammed with quality releases. RGG moved the next Like a Dragon game forward a week to be clear of Monster Hunter Wilds (probably because Monster Hunter would be huge in the Japanese market) and I assume this was brought forward a week to avoid launching the same week as AC Shadows.

Nice to see they're listing native resolutions and don't have an upscaler or frame gen in tiny writing. Whenever I see any mention of a 3d v-cache I do instantly fear another CPU limiting game.

Looks like my 5900x and 4080 will slide in just nicely for 3440*1440 but if the rumours are true and NVIDIA launch their 5000 series in Feb after announcing them at CES in Jan I'll just wait a week or two (if there is supply) to grab a new graphics card and finish my new build.

Feedback from some who have had hands on experience with the preview build (which is still old) is that it is polished and more refined than the first game.

Surprised there's not more activity in this thread about this one.

I never even played the first one (didn't know the series existed until recently) but I've been seeing stuff about this one and I'm quite pumped for it.

There's some weird culture war shit brewing around it ATM where you get one side criticising it for not being diverse enough and the other side freaking out because there's something related to a gay scene.

Hopefully the sales aren't too affected because everything I've seen about the game so far suggests a passionate dev team that creates something really quite different and unique.

Ignore them. Even the first game was used as a culture war football. First game was good and by all reports this one is as good if not better.
