Knobel, why was he kept on list?

Why did we not rade or draft a replacement ruckmand for Stafford,
Knobel had similar or is it the same injury problem last year.
As an ex DVFL rcukman yes ruckman are important, but then again so are stoppers / midfielders,
Except for Tivdendales good 2nd quarter on Stevens, no one could go with Stevens. Even if we had Cox, it would of still happened.

How many here think Tuck, Johnson, Richo, P Bowden, were underdone and not match fit.?
And don't be to worried about Everrit for Saturday, he was shocking last Saturday night, it's one thing to be a good player in an average team ( Hawkthorn) but to be as good player in a very good team is another matter.

I also was concerned about Graham not being promoted, but if they don't get to the bottom of Knobel's injury problem, then Graham will be promoted.
It's a long season guys, teams that do well in early rounds rarely finish in the top 6 at the end of the season.

graham is a rookie who hasnt showed enough by all reports to retain his spot or be promoted to the list at yrs end. thats the way of it with rookies not good enough to go in the nd but show something thats maybe worth taking a punt on in the rookie draft.
its totally pointless promoting someone who is not up to afl.

as i read this thread people arent mad about not drafting recycled ruckmen its more the fact in 3 yrs we have not used 1 nd pick on one.
i copped a lot of crap over at pre when i said wood was a monty before pattison. i said then if we took patto as a chf it was a mistake useing such a early pick on him and if we took him as a ruckman in front of wood we just got it plain wrong.the fact we took pattison our only tall pick in 5 in the top 20 was deplorable.

I'm not a patto fan,I think he's more of battling reserve grade standard.I just hope for his sake he play above himself against sydney tomorrow.
