Re: First AFL Live Glitch?

dont lie how much better would this game have been with career mode
It'd be much better with 3D, Move/Kinect compatible, and with the ability to have 44 player "Be A Pro" matches online.

They just weren't feasible for this version.

On exhibition mode I had Moran in ruck and next time I looked Tippett was in ruck. I guess this may be an auto position swap?

People having a whinge about no season. This was known well before the game was released. If you are going to take it back because of it why did yo buy it in the first place?

On the glitches, there are a few here and there, nothing a patch cannot fix.

I personally think the gameplay is great for a first go, I guess some people were just expecting FIFA standards. People, if you want a better game for the future, DO NOT return the game and keep it, it can only help.

Re: First AFL Live Glitch?

Thanks Ben.

It doesnt take a million bucks to fix it, but the more people you have making and testing the game the less likely it is to happen.

Well of course, but they've had three years to make and test this game. Big bugs like that should not be present.

I'm sure a patch will fix most of these problems and make the game even better anyway. However, for the people that don't have Xbox Live or PSN and have noticed these problems, I don't imagine they will be returning to the series any time soon, which is why it was paramount to get this game as polished as possible in the first place.

How many people is that?

Most people have access to internet, and if they dont, I'm sure they would be able to do it for a one off to get the patch.

Re: First AFL Live Glitch?

I'm saying people expecting a glitch free game were always going to be let down

Being unable to play out a full season as the Eagles (and quite a few other teams for that matter) is more than just a "glitch". It's game-breaking, and should have been detected before release. Especially as our only options are single match and season.

Jeff/Jack Darling is a glitch (albeit easily avoidable during testing). But people aren't really complaining about that one, just letting Big Ant know about it. What we are complaining about is the inability to play an entire season without resorting to "simming". That's the heart of the game!

Dunno about Australian figures, but a quick Google search shows 22% of PS3 owners aren't on PSN and 40% of Xbox owners haven't gone online. That's quite a lot of people.

It's simming one game, its bad, but its better than a massive glitch with the gameplay.

It should be fixed soon anyway

This! Plenty of people aren't distressed by this because it doesn't affect them but knowing that playing through a full season with my favourite team will go unrewarded, I feel as though I'm playing this game for nothing. I want something to aim for when playing games - season mode (at the moment) feels like a waste of time.

Re: First AFL Live Glitch?

Two noticeable bugs for me after just one match:

- Commentary stopped during most of the match
- Game froze after the match (after skipping through match stats)

Online is fine for me, had 3 games in a row, no probs. They bringing out a patch for some-things, Big Ant could leave it and not make another game for 5 years.

I had that, then I went to options, adjusted the commentary sound which makes Dennis voice a few test phrases, went back into the game and it was fine. Haven't seen it after that.

I would imagine that a huge portion of this game's customer market would be casual gamers who have purchased this game simply, and only, because it is a new AFL game. Majority of them wouldn't have followed this game from the beginning, and a fair portion of them probably aren't hardcore gamers. A lot of people buying this game probably wouldn't know what a patch was if you asked them.

Only 50% of people with an Xbox console use Xbox Live. Imagine if the sequel lost half of it's sales, the franchise would be ruined.

I earlier made a post about player's numbers, I have since put the game back in, and this time around Riedwoldt (of the Jack variety) is wearing #8. I know for a fact that he WAS wearing number 6 before, but I have no clue as to why. Anyway, just thought I should clear it up. Thankfully, I couldn't care less about season mode so it doesn't affect me personally, but hopefully something is done to correct the problem for those who do care.

Solution. Dont buy a console that only allows you to play online after paying for it.
