So we have all these inside mids. Other than Jack Steven we have no outside mids with speed. Hopefully we can trade some guy's for some speedy mids.

Koby is an outside mid but was used as an insider when Libba went down. He actually played some of his best footy inside though. I reckon he's a great get if he only costs a third round pick.

Tough one to be excited about, I mean if we get him cheap and turns out to be a gem it's amazing. The concerning part is that he chose us "ahead of an attractive offer from Essendon." I'm hoping that just means he didn't want to go to Essendon, not that we threw even more money at him.

Speed is an illusion, give me quick ball movement anytime.

Having a look at his AFL Player Ratings, he's played some blinders over the years! Seems that injuries have hurt him over the past two years and affected his ability to be consistent. So the main focus will surely be to keep him fit over the next 4-5 years.

Looking at those ratings, not knowing much about him, if he's fit then he's in the 22 in my opinion.

I reckon we can give him the old Seb Ross treatment, make use of his strengths and turn him into a very good player.
I've watched him a little bit the last 2 days and i get how he could be a mid but i think he should be a flanker. not sure yet if i want that to be in the forward or back half but his pretty solid hands and knack for not losing 1on1's might be the direction we go with him

Like other Dogs fans, sad to see Koby go. He was one of my favourites because of the way he goes at the ball.
I guess for you guys he will be an asset in that he will have no qualms about protecting and mentoring your young blokes. His disposal occasionally a bit messy but apart from Bont which inside player is super clean? Injuries have hurt him when it has come to selection for us. He strings a few good/ great games then gets an injury.
You won't regret picking him up, I guarantee it. Wholehearted player who served us very well.

This is a very accurate post.

Must say, the two recent trades from the Dogs, Ray, and no Stevens, there have been no negative ' hes a spud, sucked in' type comments that one would get from other club supporters.

To me the observations have been fair and highlight what I thought I knew about both players.
Kudos guys.
Now about Bont as the steak knives[emoji106]

Thanks for the insights Doggies fans :)

Seems this trade will go through without much fanfare and hopefully happy supporter bases on both sides.
yes its amazing how amicable and polite the Doggies supporters are now.
I guess a Premiership brings a lot of inner peace :rainbow::D

It's a shame Sam Mitchell is moving on. The Hawks Saints game would have been hilarious...

Now we need to draft Jack Noone.

First name is just a bonus.
I have never wanted us to draft a player more then Jack noone

We can play Jack Madlibs

As the benevolent Budda wrote " ....the glow of earned success is evident in the demeanour of the successful."

But as the benevolent Call Me Snake wrote " earned success or just bloody tin arse lucky i dont care. I just want one":D

LOL

But in all seriousness, I feel for the kid.....he broke his ankle/leg in the last Sandy final. It was one of those terrible breaks with the foot facing the other way. You could hear the screams of agony coming from the young kid too. Hope he recovers but he is going to be out for a while me thinks

Plenty has been said about his playing ability, but you're also getting an A+ character. Will do anything for his teammates.

Was very important for us when the joint, well, imploded at the end of 2014.
So he is the anti rockcliff in terms of charcter

Seems like a good recruit, hopefully will be a good value deal for us too.

More depth through the midfield, especially from a bloke who has demonstrated he can play really solidly, is only a positive for our team at this point.

Hope he can stay fit and up the ante on his game a bit more.
