Surgical Mask Avatars

A recent phenomenon has popped up across the league whereby many including some of the most prominent members of the Sweet FA has begun wearing surgical masks.

Now if I were to take a wild guess. Many across the Sweet FA would probably have received a message of some sort along the lines of:



It is a message claiming to protect players from the virus spread if they were to put on a surgical mask whilst in public.

For any healthy individual these masks actually do little to nothing:

As it turns out, wearing surgical masks don't prevent healthy people from contracting the virus and also inadvertently could lead people to touching their face more frequently with unwashed hands furthering the spread.

The actual effective masks would be the N95 respirators, but given they are in limited supply surely the socially responsible thing to do is to reserve them for the healthcare workers of Sweet.

Hence, everyone take off your face masks, they do nothing.

Stay inside and Ant Bear shut down this league indefinitely until the virus spread subsides.
