Hes going ok. Looks a little tentative and slow...but thatll improve over the weeks...that mark and goal was exactly what we need at the Blues.

I will write a little review after the game on Hendo, Kruez and Houla

How is he going so far guys? And hendo?

Just watching on ABC, he has had a couple of touches including that nice mark and goal. Couldn't ask for much more, will need a few weeks to get his fitness and touch back.

Hendo seems to be working without heaps of reward, seems to be doing some ruckwork around the grounds if I'm not mistaken, looking ok.

Houlihan will be a very handy inclusion in a couple of weeks, looks to skillful and classy to be in the vfl.

O'Keefe's playing fairly well, Austin looks like a good target up forward.

Any chance of a full wrap up of the Ants game today by someone that saw it. Cant find the Bullants thread for some reason, last one was closed after the last game?

Good to hear.

I suppose knowing that they would stick him up forward for a while he would have been working hard with the coaches on his forward play and improving his body positioning etc.

If he had a weakness before it was that when up forward he didn't always give himself best position, IIRC. Not that he didn't make up for it.

Carlton ruckman Matthew Kreuzer kicks two goals in VFL return

"It felt really great to get out and have some match time," he said. "My left knee felt really good. I will be working hard at training again this week before Sunday's VFL game against Box Hill."

Carlton football manager Steven Icke said Kreuzer had worn protective padding on both knees yesterday because of the revolutionary nature of his knee reconstruction.

"The surgeons took a posterior ligament from his right knee and matched it to his left knee during the surgery," Icke said. "Being a big man it made his left knee much stronger."

News to me.

Bluebear, your expertise would be very much appreciated here. Is it normal procedure? Don't they normally pull out a hamstring tendon?

Normally its either the Patella Ligament (most common, I think) or the hamstring and only the centre of that ligament. .. Seems weird to mess with his good knee like that especially as the PCL is often injured esp. for ruckmen. ..

Edit: Unless Ick was confused and they actually used the Patella Ligament from the right knee which would be a little different as they usually use the Patella from the injured knee. ..
