Was not that impressive. Did anyone notice the few costly mistakes he made. Like the kick across ground in Defensive 50.

I think he will take a lot out of this game, his decision making especially.

Hopefully a bounce back next week.
 
He wasn't too bad, that costly kick across 50 stands out as his worst moment. The other one was when he fumbled and got done for holding the ball, which actually preceded the poor D50 kick. Aside from those I thought he did ok and showed some pretty good skills when collecting the ball from ground level.
 
The kick was bad but you know, I kind of liked the fact that he had the confidence to try.

Also liked how he turned the ball over midfield and ran back to mark in front of Burton. He puts his hand up and takes responsibility and does not stand around posturing over mistakes.

i cant believe how some of you blokes turn on our players after 1 bad game..

kreuzer tried his guts out, he made some mistakes, but did some brilliant things...he is going to be our best player some day.

you all need to get a life and quit nitpicking players games like this.

the crows outplayed us, bored us to death and cut out fev and judd. thats how they won and thats that.

kreuzer is a 1st year 18 year old player...i think we can cut him juuuust a little slack...
 
____s sake the kid is 18 he made a mistake did you guys see the look on his face when he stuffed it up? I thought he was going to cry, mark my words he is going to a a gun.

I think he should be a good mobile target around the ground but we do need another forward - rather than make it easy for a backman however, if played forward, should play the Richo/wing type game.

Borderline post at best but I will assume you are naive. You seem to be roosting on a tree overhanging this board this evening and I reaching for the shotgun.

Player sponsorships go to the club not the player but I am pretty sure you would know that since many boards sponsor players.

That stuff up in the back 50 was due to the pressure from Adelaide and the fact none of his team mates gave him in option. You can't blame him for the ruck though. If your undersized, then there is not a lot you can do about it. Just ask Sandilands opponent last night.

I noticed in the last quarter when an Adelaide player was storming down the wing, there Kruezer was busting his guts trying to catch him. He was never a shot though. There was also another smaller player in the vicinity, can't remember who, but he was just looking. The ball was delivered into their forward line and Kreuzer came running into the screen still busting his guts.

As for Kreuzer, he did ok today. Yes the kick was bad, but the idea was ok. Just the execution was off. Ratts did say on radio today is that the club had planned to give him a rest at some stage of the year.

Play him as a tall option up forward ( In Hartletts role ) and watch him shine, Hampson in for Hartlett to do the ruck work with Cloke the back-up and just let Kreuzer settle up forward for now as he will compliment Fev and add some class to the forward 50.
 
Yep, Hampson should come in as first ruck and put Kreuzer into the forward line. Tries his guts out around the ground but he is just not big enough for the contests at this stage imo.
 
I'm extremely pleased with Kreuzer. For a first year ruckman he is doing fantastically well - I can't think of a single 18 year old ruckman who showed as much as Kreuzer this early. Sure, he turned the ball over - so did half our team - what was pleasing to me was that he actually attempted it. Can't think of many big men who'd try something like that, and I'm sure Kreuz is capable of pulling it off most times.

Ya spot on mate.
This time last week everyone was talking all of our players up, saying how good we look and talking about premierships by 2010.
One week later and all of our players are apparently crap and our team is useless.
Happens every week but it never ceases to frustrate me.
 
this thread is really pathetic.
cant believe the rubbish that is posted sometimes, the kid yes kid is only what 18 playing his 3-4 th game in the ruck with mountains jumping into him. and you guys are talking about a kick that didnt hit the target.

in a successfull club this kid would probably play in the 2,s for a season to adapt. he shouldnt be played in the ruck , you have players like hamson,ackland,cloke to carry those duties.

should be played fp hff wing with probably 20 mins a game in the ruck against the oppositions 2nd ruckman.

give the kid a break, will become a very good player for 10+ years
