I have reported your post, enjoy your ban.I know this suggestion will be recieved by howls of protest but is he what we need?
We need a dominant forward. He is not that. Moran can be, but Tippett needs more work to even get to Moran's level. He is a capable Ruck, but Griffin is better.
If we were to trade Tippett we would get value for him. If we want to be active and trade for a forward or gun midfielder he is the kind of player that other teams want.
We cant expect to get good players in trade period if we only offer our dregs.
Thoughts??

Incidently, I believe Tippett has the tools to be a far superior forward to Moran (I do like Moran down there though), but he needs another tall forward down there with him, otherwise he's just going to get double-teamed every time we try to go to him.
Some people are suggesting Reilly.....Reilly>> Tippett
Cant beleive he was not in our 22 yesterday.

So we should only trade ordinary players?Yes trade away a promising FORWARD line player.

Who is our forward line Coach?
Paul Hamilton. He was our defence coach for two years then switched to the forward line.
Completely off topic, but is dividing the team up into Forwards, Midfielders and Defenders the right way to go about things? The performances and functioning of each of these areas are so reliant on the others. Should they be broken down in this way?
The Forwards cannot do their thing unless the midfield are providing adequate supply. The Midfield cannot deliver the ball properly unless the Forwards are presenting well. The Defenders cannot restrict scoring unless the Midfield are pressuring the opposition. The Midfield cannot move the ball quickly unless the Defenders are providing rebound. Etc.
Thinking out loud here, but wouldn't it make more sense to divide the coaching roles up into:
Stoppages
Kick ins (ours and theirs)
Defensive Pressure
Ball Movement
Goal Kicking
All players are involved in stoppages at various stages. All players are involved in kick ins. All players have a responsibility to provide defensive pressure. Etc.

Thought so - which is a shame, because I rate him, but our forward line does not know how to play as a cohesive unit.
Bassett for Forward Line Coach.
Bassett for defensive coach in 1-2 years.
Now we need an actual forward to coach our forward line.
Pay the $$$ crows.

Throw some names out...
Carey?
I can't think of too many gun ex-forwards who aren't already aligned to Clubs (Dunstall, Sticks), aren't flat out with work committments (Lynch), or who are just plain not interested (Plugga).

working with the s.a institute of sport craigy often stated 'you cant polish a t*urd'
we didnt have any elite/very good players in our forward line on the weekend. the coach can only do so much with what he has (ie the ayres 'legacy'. btw, no wonder cats fans hated ayres for many yrs after he left their list in a similarly depleted state to what craigy picked up in mid 2004)
at least with the last 2 drafts/trading we have seemingly better junior talls coming through than we have had for over a decade
