So the umpires can use Ardmona as a practise match to bleed young umpires into senior football
Certainly don’t think that should be happening each week, young umpires should be given a variety of games, common sense that they don’t take on a Stanhope V Tally first up, but certainly don’t think it’s fair that one club is getting the most inexperienced umpires each week.
Do have to suck it up and take an inexperienced one here and there though chickenwing

Chicken what lm saying is ,if there is a opportunity for the umpires to teach some kids the game why not use the Ardmona situation, it’s got nothing to do with it being Ardmona , it’s just that at the moment Ardmona is the team they can use.
Appreciate everyone feedback on the matter will try an get the lads up an about an make sure there frustration doesn’t get the better of them an hopefully we can keep being competitive for the remainder of the season.

Don’t worry chicken iv tried to beat the drum to umpire selectors already and asked for a break numerous times, and I always get the same response of “we will look into it”. The problem is people still see us as the old Ardmona, I’m pretty sure if the old Ardmona was getting beaten by 200+ points every week there would be numerous fights and reports. But no we are a bunch of younger blokes that turn up week in, week out to play footy with there mates and trying there dam hardest to get the club off its hands and knees and back onto it’s feet to be somewhat competitive and financial (cause apparently not a lot of people with skill play footy for fun anymore they all want $$$$).

Keep raising the convo boys, the Squeeky wheel gets the oil ....

Full respect to anyone and everyone who continue's to turn up in trying circumstances. Trust there are plenty who lope around the bush from successful club to successful club and will never experience the challenges and/or learnings and life skills that your situation offers.
Personally one of my more enjoyable seasons as a coach was a winless one with pretty much 17-21yo's all of a sudden exposed before their time and learning about senior football on the hop - and to go watch them now and see them still most playing is brilliant.

Did Anyone here watch Dookie v Undera or Avenel v Merrigum on the weekend? I thought those games might’ve been a lot closer?

I caught the 2nd half of Nagambie v Tally, Nagambie lead at half time before being steam rolled in the 3rd. Good half of footy to watch. Tys Sidebottom yet again a class above. I have a feeling this game was a grand final day teaser.

What has happened to Girg? Is that 7 losses in a row? I watched them early in the year against Avenel and they looked pretty good..

Surprisingly since coming back to Ardmona an out of retirement I am really enjoying my football trying to get these young kids up an about scoreboard results are irrelevant at the moment like you mentioned it all about exposure for the young lads and trying to give them guidance not that I was much of a footballer just about teaching them the basics and these are the players that will appreciate the success when it eventually comes as they are experiencing the hard times so when the good times roll around it will mean more to them

Hopefully I get to see that young umpire from the game on Saturday as he deserves an apology on my behalf as I was unaware that it was his debut and his age not that I was being abusive or aggressive just question his decision making an his vendetta against Ardmona which was out of frustration

I think it was Kane Handley who went down early in the Tally v Nagambie game with what looked like an ankle/lower leg injury - anyone have an update on this?

Hopefully nothing to sinister & that he is back on the park soon.

No breaks on the x ray, currently wearing a half cast with more tests to be done

I would be very disappointed if I was a Girgarre supporter. I think they have under achieving as a football s

If I was a Girgarree supporter, I think I would be disappointed with there season so far. From a outside looking in they looked to be under achieving this season given the players they picked up at the start of the season.I would have thought they would be better.

I’ll agree with Gig. I rated them very highly after our first encounter earlier in the year. Thought Tucks was doing a great job.

Mate I played my first game against Ardmona this year and I couldn’t believe the positivity that the players still had after being obliterated on the score board. Like you say it’s all about the exposure for the young kids. I do admire them for their effort and fronting up every week!!

Yeah I agree all tho it does look worse from the outside. I was talking to a close friend who follows Gig, who stated that the weekends game just gone they had there 2 best players go down in the first 5 minuets, which limited them to 1 player on the bench for the whole game. But then he was quick to say, obviously it wouldn’t of changed the result but it woulda played a part in the margin been so big with them not playing.

Gigs close losses

Lost to Lanky by 2-3 goals
Lost to Dookie by 1-2 goals
Lost to tally by 2 goals
Lost to Undera by 2 goals

Stanhope are really the only side to really put them away.

Murch beat them by 50+ points

Stanhope bothe times, nagaz by 56 the week b4, murch by 50 odd..

Lancy, Dookie and Gig to have big wins this week. Few good contests though. Nagambie and Undera had a close encounter last time they met. Tally and Stanhope should be a beauty, Stanhope a very good all round side, but do they have enough A graders to go with Tally? And the much improved Murch-Toolamba against Avenel. Swans gave them a 60 point beating last time in the pouring rain at Murch in round 2. The boys will be wearing their indigenous alternative strip as well.

Spot on ultra The stanny vs tally game will be a beauty with both sides just saturated with players that have played major league footy

Avenel gave Murch a good touch up today all around the ground just didn’t dominate the scoreboard as much as they should’ve.
Michael Morgan stretchered off in the last quarter with either an ankle or knee (I couldn’t tell from the other side of the ground) I wish him all the best, great player and huge for the swans
