Clear cut case I would think, only question is if the media/dems/blm can terrorise the jury enough.

Do you believe this or are you playing devil's advocate? The argument would go that he placed himself in the situation he found himself in - basically that he caused the reactions of the men who tried to disarm him which lead to him having to shoot them in self defence.
Sort of like trolling the sh*t out of someone till they lash out, then shooting them in self defence when they do.
Sorry, yes, prosecution.Prosecution?

There are still lots of gun owners in Australia
The defence should have made more of the intention of taking a weapon out, as weapon owners by virtue of taking a weapon out publicly can be characterised as being willing to use it, being partway premeditating or planning to use it. The defence could have gone through all the painstaking details of preparing the weapon, to create the possibility or probability of presentiment.
Bizarrely, the defence aimed a weapon at some of the jury, apparently, with his finger on the
trigger, which I would have thought could be classed as unduly influencing them in some way?
I read that there are 3 million registered weapons in Australia, which is the group I belong to. I assume you are referencing the unregistered weapons which would be hard to estimate. There are loads more guns in Australia now than before 1996.
That's really bad if true. What is your source?Apparently multiple threats being made by BLM protesters and the uncle of George Floyd towards the jury in an attempt to force a guilty verdict. Scarin jury members from making lawful decisions is in essence terrorism.
Disgusting. They should be charged.

Have you weighed up all the evidence?
Took 32 pages but we got through finally
He was putting out fires with his AR-15?He was protecting small businesses from being torched by arsonists.
Literally. He had a fire extinguisher and was attempting to douse fires lit by the BLM rioters when he was attacked.
I was like you: thinking "Who's this f-wit who takes a gun to a BLM protest and shoots people?"
No, only what I know and have read.
My view is that under Wisconsin law, he can rely on the argument of self defence, and I reckon the prosecution are going to have a hard time proving beyond reasonable doubt that his force was unreasonable in the circumstances (angry mob, at least one person had a firearm, grabbing for his gun etc).
In order to get 'provocation' to stick they need to prove that he was otherwise engaged in unlawful activity (and even then he can justify lethal force if his state of mind was it was required and that was reasonable).
There is noting left that indicates he was engaged in unlawful activity at the time of the shootings so I cant see how they get that up either.
Again, I reckon he gets off.
I dont like it, but there it is.

It's not his place to show up with an AR-15 to "deter people".Deterring people from doing so in the first place and offering first aid to rioters which he apparently did.

Not terrorism if they don't actually do anything.Apparently multiple threats being made by BLM protesters and the uncle of George Floyd towards the jury in an attempt to force a guilty verdict. Scarin jury members from making lawful decisions is in essence terrorism.

Who asked him to come? Did he have any training? Any affiliation with an organised effort? Why bring a big gun?
Stop making excuses for this peanut.I agree. The police/military should have arrested all of the rioters and there would have been no need for him to do that. However given the violence and cries of the BLM rioters to defund police....its not surprising they were hesitant to engage. No wonder the public felt they needed to defend property from these reprobates.
