These two players both have another pre-season under the belt and look like really taking the next step in 2003....
Who do u rate as a better player and who do u think will make the biggest impact in 2003?

Aw boy thats a tough one. Although they are similar size, they are different types of players. Bode is your tough nut who does all the "dirty work" while Ladhams is you silky skilled left footer who is capable of doing just about anything. At this stage you would probably say that Bode is a better player but IMHO Ladhams has the potential to be AA.

Bode's disposal is a bit patchy while Ladhams disposes of the ball with pure skill. Last year Bode was somewhat inconsisten where as Ladhams, once given a regular spot in the 18, was very consistent. Both are very dangerous around goals, capable of kicking a bag.

IMHO Bode is your tough midfielder capable of playing as a half-forward / forward pocket. Ladhams is your half-forward / forward pocket capable of playing in the midfield. Bode is your "inside" player while Ladhams is your "running" player.

Both will have big impacts in 2003 and both should be regulars. Bode needs to improve his consistencyand keep improving overall. With Kane Johnson gone I expect Bode to spend a lot more time in the middle. As a result I think he will have a slightly bigger impact than Ladhams. IMHO too close to call.;)

Id have both of them in my team....can do alot of damage and i remember the game at Footy park last year when Bode absolutely dominated and i was thinking gees this guys a gun player when he turns it on.
Ladhams is ok but needs to work on his decision making a little bit more....... and he isnt the smartest footballergoing around.
He needs to run a little bit harder and create space like he should be able to do, that will come in time though (he is worthy of at least a bench spot)
Although he kicked a sick goal the other night :)

I think Stiffy's summary of both players is a good one and totally accurate.

They are both good players in contrasting styles and definitely add value to the team.

Both players stepped up and made great strides in their respective games last year. At the moment I think it is too close to call and it will be the one who steps up even more this season who will prove to be the better player in the years to come. Who will that be?? I still don't know!!!

I agree.
If I had to choose though Id opt for Bodey.

I love his attack around the ball and his crumbing off the packs.
Ladhams is a season behind Bode IMHO but gee the two goals he threaded last week in differing circumstances were gems.

I agree with Stiffy's comments. They are different types of players (of about equal importance to the Crows IMO), who will need to take another step to cover the loss of Sugar. Bodey tends has better endurance & covers more ground & gets more of the ball, but Chris is more damaging with his disposal & under-rated in close confines.

BODE!!! he has more skills, and he is quicker on foot. althoughi think ladhams is a very good player, bode will make more of an impact cos he has more of a football brain(hes also beta looking than ladhams *cough cough*!!!)

yeah dont mind it..but welshy is the king of surfy looks
i HATE how ppl r saying jacob shuback(or however u spell it) looks like bodey NO WAY! shuback is ugly and thats HELL DISRESPECTFUL to my Bodey!!!!!!

Bodey has won me for life. He tries so very hard. He throws himself into all sorts of dangerous situations, but he never thinks twice he just does it. He is always at the bottom of the pack doing the tough stuff. For a little bloke like him I am constantly amazed at his determination.

I think Ladhams also has a place in our side but he is more of a silky smooth player. Very rarely do you see him doing the "tough stuff" not that that is an issue but he is just a different type of player.

If I could only have one of these guys it would be Bodey.

From a distance it is easy to confuse Bode & Schuback as they have the have a similar build, hair colour & both left-footers. Don't reckon I will be the only one to mistake the 2 players. Nothing personal.
