It keeps being reported that Laidler is up at the MRP for a bump on Hille, I have not seen the incident dose anyone have a link to a video of it?

Also for those that have seen it what are his chances of getting the all clear?

Re: Laidler Reported?

Hopefully he hasn't been cited as he is so valueable for us. If it is the Hille incident then it could be line ball. Didn't look too high or serious but the way the panel works there could be enough there for concern.

Re: Laidler Reported?

Happened right in front of where I was sitting on the MCC wing...
Nothing in it..it was late, but not high...Hill got up and they got a relayed free kick.
Reprimand at worst

Re: Laidler Reported?

It was a late side bump after Hille had kicked the ball, no jumping into him, raised elbows etc.

I think it was a relay free or a 50m penalty at the time which is all it should have been.

Should not have even been considered a reportable offense.

Seriously, the game has lost the plot of he gets reported.

Re: Laidler Reported?

The thing that the MRP frown upon is when a player jumps in the air and makes contact with the head, ala Daisy Thomas. This was a softer outcome but as sson as I saw it during the game I wondered if the MRP would look at it. Its one of those situations that they say a player had an option to do something else.
For a big man, Hille certainly is made of butter

Check it out again, definately jumped into him. Shouldnt get a game though

Re: Laidler Reported?

My daughter hits harder than that. If he goes for that I will start watching synchronized swimming FFS.

Re: Laidler Reported?

You dont think? Not trolling - just comparing it to the Daisy incident Id be worried - leaves the ground and collects the jaw:

Yeh .. you wish :)

Looks like he hit his shoulder to me....maybe points but nothing in it

Re: Laidler Reported?

contact was to the shoulder...not to the head...so why would it be reviewed?

Because as you can see in the photo above - Hille's shoulder and arm is behind Laidlers - the bump went across the front of Hille and collected his jaw. Its a shame - but Laidler really didnt do himself any favours by leaving the ground.

Hate it when games are potentially influenced by injuries or suspensions... the Cox/Gibbs/Kerr/Laidler/Rosa/Kreuzer/Waite types of ifs and butts are ideally avoided by everyone having their best team on the park :thumbsu:

Re: Laidler Reported?

He wont go for that, surely.

Jeebus, for the sake of the game you'd certainly hope not. It's touch and go whether it's even worth a down field free kick.

Thomas went front on, hit later than Laidler and clearly made contact to the head. Apart from the fact he left the ground, the two aren't really that similar.

Arguable...assuming that the match review panel would be seeing what we're seeing..no conclusion unless the medicos or an interview with David would suggests otherwise (spirit of the game).....might not even go that far because he stood up and ran...got the wind knocked out of him....

Oh come on.

Deep down you want him suspended, because it will be easier for you guys if he is.
