following up in the second verse with this gem

anytime at all"


I don't think Phil Collins has ever written a sing that I actually like.

I can't see how these lyrics have anything to do with the lyricism of Phil Collins.

See Dead Cat falls into the ‘such little effort that it’s awesome’ category of some of the classic punk bands (I know they’re not punk).
The riff made it a great song as well

That's just torture that song.

Gang Of Youths think they’re deep but their lyrics are so flimsy and clichéd.

The singer can write some really great like;
'You give me a good reason to be heartsick again
To be here, to be strong, to be oddly and boldly estranged
From the loss and bitter years
I found myself descending into tedium and fear'

and then in the same song write something cringe like;
'Sometimes life sucks, everything is lame
Not everything’s as easy as making lemonade'

I like Gang of Youths but they are just right on that brink of being a great band, but still not there yet.
