Yep, I've just abut lost patience with Macca. From what I've read around other forums it seems the atmosphere at the club is not good at all, due to the hack of an assistant manager we've got in Staunton.

I'm starting to have nightmares about us being stuck in league one for years.

3-1 loss to MK Dons.

We've stepped it up this week and conceded not just one, but two goals from corners! Wtf is wrong with our defenders?

We've signed a French trialist called Mansour Assoumani to try and help in that regard.

It had to happen. Thanks Macca, but it just wasn't working and we don't have the time to wait and see if you can halt the slide.

Boothroyd was an assistant to Blackwell back in 2004-5 and early 2005-6 before he got the Watford job. I'm not a huge fan of his but he does have experience in gaining promotion, which is our sole priority this season. He did work wonders at Watford with little money.

Gus was assistant to Wise last season and late 2006-7 and many lauded him as the real reason we wiped out the 15pts so quickly and started last season brilliantly. His hasty departure to Spurs to assist Ramos left a bitter taste in a few mouths but from a career point of view you could understand it at the time. He has no management experience though which is quite a concern as we don't want a repeat of this current situation in six months.

Billy Davies would be a popular choice, although many fans still hold grudges from the playoffs back in 2005-6.

Personally, I'd like a proven manager in this division with a history of winning promotion. I'm not fussed about style of football, just get results. Being able to organise a defence would be handy too!

I want someone proven in as well. As good as Poyet's reputation as our assistant was, there's no time for experimenting, we need to get out of this league fast.

All the reports have us poised to unveil Simon Grayson as our new boss.

Would be very happy if this does happen. He's done a great job at Blackpool with limited resources and more importantly he has achieved promotion from League 1, so he knows what is required.

He's only 39, so he's got age on his side and he's a Leeds fan too, which won't hurt in endearing him to the fans!

I think this one could go on. Leeds have apparently appointed him as boss, even though he is still contracted to Blackpool and they have refused his resignation.

Can you legally refuse to accept a resignation? I guess you can but I doubt it would stand up in court.

Doesn't really matter, Grayson is our boss and I'm very pleased. The Leicester game was the last thing anyone of us wanted after the weekend, now most Leeds fan can't wait for it.

I don't think they could force him to work, but while he's contracted they can certainly stop him from working elsewhere I would have thought.

Otherwise gardening leave, and compensation for managers wouldn't happen. Everyone would just get their target to resign and then hire them a day later.

Blackpool have reported Leeds to the FA, and I think they have every right to. I think it will just come down to compensation (Leeds have offered £200k before the resignation), but Bates once again has acted appallingly IMO.

Of course you'd think that.

If Leeds acted decently I wouldnt have a go at them.

Can't believe anyone would defend their club poaching a manager without giving them any compensation.

Would you be happy if Beckford resigned from Leeds next week and then signed for some other club as a free agent?

But compensation had been offered. It appears that Blackpool are looking for more than what was offered.

So if someone offers you £100k for Beckford, does that make it OK? Blackpool have every right to decide what compensation is acceptable to them.

You should have done what every other club has done, come to an agreement with the club you want the manager from and only then make your appointment.

Our little superstar and Malcolm Christie with 2nd half goals to grab a much needed 3 points. Nice start from Grayson. I like him already.

Will anyone on these boards be at the Carlisle match at Elland Road in a fortnight by any chance? I've decided to make the trip up from dreary London.

I see Man Utd have apparently offered around 10 million pound for Delph. Will be tough to refuse it i would imagine. Could take that and then go and buy 3-4 very good league one players...or do we hang on to him?

Leeds fans must be happy you were not chosen to take over as manager, if 10 million would only buy you 3 or 4 very good league one players.

Yes, I was happy Jaymin didn't get the gig. Twit

We've signed Lee Trundle on loan from Bristol City for a month.

Top signing at this level and will provide important back up to Beckford (who is under an injury cloud), Becchio (who needs a break) and Christie (who is always a 50-50 proposition). I wonder if this is one of those loan now then sign permanently later deals.

It also gives the Swansea and Cardiff fans more reasons to hate us! :D

Trundle is racking up quite a collection of clubs: Wrexham, Swansea, Brizzle City and now Leeds. All matches made in heaven.

Seriously though he has been in shocking form the past season and a half which has been great to see, interesting to see if a drop down to a level where he once dominated helps much.
