Calling him a list clogger has always been the incorrect label

He played like a clogger most of last year. he clogged the back line, he clogged the forward line except for a few cameo performances and he clogged up the ruck. When it looks like it is clogging up the works, it usually is a clogger.

This year, he has performed very very well.

So, what you are saying is that only you can make the assessment and only you can determine the context in which it is used.

Some may have thought that last year, he was the epitome of a list clogger because he was keeping a key forward, a key back and a ruck out all at the same time, in spite of his versatility. And if that is what they truly believed, then they were justified in using the term.

As for Johnson, he was always in my best 22. Tarks same, maybe not this year now tho. And Cook has never been in my best 600 current AFL players.

If you are playing regular senior footy you simply cant be a list clogger.

You can carry a few wily old veterans as they can pass on wisdom and at a pinch come in and you know they will perform the duties asked, again not list cloggers.

Mid aged blokes who have little leadership quality, and are no real chance of playing AFL football are list cloggers. ....see Cook, Corrie and Rusling....unfortunately all 3 have had ample time to make a fist of it and for whatever reason are not in the AFL picture.......either try their luck at another AFL club or play VFL.
