Would it at all be possible a club could snare both Mitch Clark and James Frawley by using their
Influence on compo
Picks as leverage.

With Jacko retired we have a lot more cap room. Say we move on vickery also (wouldn't need with Clark) and maybe grimes or god forbid Chaplin (soft)

Say we offer more than frawley is worth on the open market to ensure the compo for melbourne is early first round, in exchange we get allowed a soft deal for Clark. Say a second round pick or fringe player.

Frawley and Clark for next to nothing and the ability to move on vickery and grimes for picks in first two rounds (or good youngsters)

I don't want Frawley or Clark for plenty of reasons but the main one is I think we have some very good young KPPs who should play for the next 10 years, we need more quality smalls

Mitch Clark is a HUGE risk, Frawley is overrated by many. Plus they both come from Melbourne so that's a risk in itself.

Speed, speed, speed, and maybe a little bit of extra speed. Small crumbing forwards and more quality midfield depth pls.

The point is that frawley is an upgrade on grimes and Clark (pre time away from game) on vickery.

Then with a first rounder for Tyrone and second for grimes you go after your mids.

Could do say Tyrone and pick 11 to dogs for 6 and second. Send six for a shiel, sheuy, Jack Steven, Parker or Mitchell etc

Then grimes for an o'rourke, crozier etc

Frawley to Geelong, Clarke to Hawthorn or Fremantle.

Both not for us.

I'd be creative and add Tom Mitchell and Leigh Montagna to our side. Also Taylor Hunt.

We then need to find speed in a midfield and forward line.

Small defender to take over Morris who is almost useless.

Frawley as a key back is all australian if in a good side. He and rance with astbury alongside would be a handy defence.

Clark is a risk but not giving up anything for him.

None of Mitchell, Montagne or hunt have speed. Mitchell is a gun but not any quicker than any of our mids.

I'd definitely rather have Frawley over Chaplin, would offer a lot more to our backline, but the money he's asking for is unbelievable.

And Torres was the best striker in Europe 5 years ago. ;)

Would be good for a couple of years if cheap. And I would definitely rather him over O'Keefe who is busy shagging his wife at the moment.
okeefes wife or montagna s wife

In all seriousness though, if a decent player becomes available because they want to come to Victoria, would the Richmond Football Club be high on their priority list? We're not a top 4 side yet and I can't imagine us offering overs for a big contract to secure them. What would be the best way for them to be lured here?

Well they would have to be young because we are years off it yet clearly and they would need to be young enough to sell to them we are still in their window!

All the young talent up north you would have to trade for as they wont be Free Agents. Plenty of years left in them. Clubs have no idea if they're in the window or not unless they finish in the top four at the end of the H&A season.

Ladder position has little to do with it IMO.

Look at were Geelong finished and they are years off their next window. Its all about the make up of your list and getting talent around existing talents age wise. Eg all our talent is most young so we need to build the youth up clearly
