Lets get a bit of mongrel in to us, we need to start having a real physical presence i think we have lost this since last year, guys like chapman scarlett mooney should start roughing a few people up show a bit of passion and have a real scrappy hard fought win.

I see your point about physical presence but is it my imagination or do we seem lighter this year than last.
Even our big blokes look skinny, Kingy,Otto etc.
Are our injuries caused by overtraining?

It's not that, it's for large chunks of the season we've missed King, Ottens, Mooney, Harley, Playfair. Recognise the link - all big guys.

I realise that we have had heaps of injuries but are we unlucky or is there something wrong with our training methods?

Mooney can't break wind without having a free paid against him.

I'd say it's luck, just look at the type of injuries we're getting, H - Jaw, Wojcinski - knee, Enright - knee and shoulder, Ottens - OP, King - shoulder and calf, Harley - hip. There is no consistency in the injuries we get. StKilda should probably look at their fitness staff because they've had about 6 hammys this season, but Geelong's have probably been more bad luck than anything.

I wouldnt say they look lighter, but it doesnt change the fact that they are the softest big men in the league

Yep, time to show a bit of hardness. We don't need to go around clobbering anyone, but a little bit of passion would be nice. I keep reading about players getting mowed into the ground or otherwise roughhoused and no one steps in to show to some physical presence when it happens. That's the sort of presence we seem to lack right now.

Even when we were flying we didn't have passion.

Each club has 4-5 guys who go off like a firecracker when they win a game or kick a big goal but we only have one, Gary Ablett (maybe Chapman as well).

Players like Corey, Kingsley, King, Harley, Ottens, Playfair barely react to anything, they look like robots out there.

I guess it could be to do with the coach who never seems to show any emotion.

Fire up, Kent and Henry in particular.
