The way people have been talking the last couple of weeks, you would think that a loss would have meant the end of this country, but we are all still here. Move on, and lets get on with life. I am pissed off about the result too but it is only sport. You get perspective of bad results in sport with the attacks on America.

There are far more important things in life but I feel pretty bad right now.

WHAT?!?! Lives need to return to normal? I was un-aware that i was in some sort of football crazed state, silly me.

I think the fact that most of us can be philosophical about this shows that we do have more in our lives to look forward to. I don't think there would have been too many Uruguyan fans being philosophical if they had have lost. It is agony to watch it all happen again but I haven't heard about any riots breaking out in Australia this morning just yet. The thing is it will irritate most fans for a while and unlike losing an AFL grand final, you can't make up for it a year later, you have to wait four more years to have a chance and that chance is going to be sudden death. I guess we'll all appreciate it all the more when and if it does happen.

errrgghh... im sorry... but i do respect soccer and i am dissapointed at the result, but im not whining and crying.. no **** we have to get on with our lives.. who isn't! dont state the obvious tell me something i dont know.

people who i feel sorry for are the people who have helped Soccer in australia to grow.. all those fans who pay to see it and all the players/officials and coaches.

i totally agree i sick of every going on about it at school also my Dad who i never know to like scoccer got in to it,i don't like scoccer much it was grate when we one on Friday night and it's a shame we lost this moaring but get over it's not afl like u said it's only scoccer.

Im with Chris on this 1!

I have to agree with Chris on this 1 because for all of uss real footy fans that dont really follow the soccer the AFL players play every year to make the finals and the AUSSIES play ever for years for a possible triumph that hasnt worked out for god knows how long!

Honestly Chris im not a big soccer fan but every 4 years I watch the Aussies and I hope they make the worls cup and every year I watch the Pies and hope the can make the AFL finals and that hasnt happened for 7 long years!

Trust me Mate I know how you must be feeling!
