Interviewer carrying in about how good we were and how proud was he?

Bogut is deadpan - not really happy at all - we lost.

Different type of players and experiences. These guys are playing good minutes in NBA championship winning teams. They are winners.

Not really into basketball since I played as a kid and went along to 36ers games.

Enjoyed that. Might have to get into NBA next season. Since my old man is from Detroit I guess Pistons are my team :/

Bogut at 32 means this is most probably his last olympics. Patty at 27 has another in him though Might be coming off the bench for Exum at that stage though!

No disrespect to guys like Heal, Bradtke, Longley and Gaze but this really is the 'golden generation' of Aussie Basketball.

Similar to the Socceroos who broke the drought in going to Germany, we need to strike while the irons hot and grab a medal.

If the young players develop, the way they should and play, gold is a realistic goal at 2020.

Ben Simmons (1), Dante Exum (5) and Thon Maker (10) should all be strong starters by then. Potentially all stars (Simmons at least). Simmons has it in him to be one of the best players in the league, especially if he develops as a shooter. Isaac Humprhies, Dejan Vasiljevic and Matur Maker should also be quality players, ready to contribute by then as well.

Yep. The guy is an NBA champion. Moral victories aren't his thing.

He looked like he wanted to kill somebody when he walked up for that interview too haha.

You'd be hoping Exum will be our best PG option by 2020. Or maybe we'll just run Simmons as a 6'11 PG.

Even though some don't like hearing about things like this, they are very relevant to the Olympics - CAS has upheld the ban on the 2008 Gold medalist in the men's walking (Alex Schwazer from Italy). It was an 8 year ban for his second doping violation. He tested positive on the eve of London 2012 and again tested positive in January this year.
