Lets talk about a real umpiring error

There's been a lot of talk about the 50m penalty, but nothing has come up about this.

Ryan Lonie was hit about 5-10 metres behind play on Saturday by Jess Sinclair. His action was deemed reckless and high, and he was suspended for 1 week with an early plea. Now forgive me if i'm wrong, but there was absolutely no free kick paid for this indiscresion, yet Sinclair has copped a penalty. I can't remember if the Roos finished off the play with a goal, but to borrow a line from the WWE.....what's up with that. The Kangaroos wern't the only one's who had a bad decision go against them.

Totally agree. Bad decisions happen to all teams. If he had have slotted the goal from 15 out little would have been made of it. The horrible disgrace of a shot for goal is what has made this an issue. I doubt he would have missed from the goal line though.

the umpire needs to see it to pay a free kick

u said urself it was behind the play, so think that explains it, the umpires were watching the actual play so missed it

bit like the l.davis missed free, the umpire was blind sided by the pack from memory

But the leon davis head knock wasnt even bought up to be looked at by the tribunal, I thought thas the **** tthat wanted stamped out!! Doesnt look like if you wear black and white!!

James Braeshaw said all day on the radio the Kangaroos had alot of free kick go there way that ended up in goals. My favourite was when Rocca was about to kick and then Leigh Brown stood between Rocca and the Roos player on the mark and the ump called play on. Where;s the 50m for that.

So your saying that 3 umpires missed it. I think it is obvious when someone goes down (Granted it is Lonie) like he has been shot holding his head something has happened.

Yes. I saw that on the replay today. That is one of the worst I have seen.

The game was full of bad umpiring decisions, a lot fo the holding the ball decisions where pretty bad.

The push in the back on Lonie right in front for a Norf goal was disgraceful, as was Leon's bump on the one occassion he actually put his head over the ball.

But if we wanted to win by ten goals, don't blame the scumps. We just had to play like we did in the last for four quarters. Norf are ****en terrible!

I think that Leon Davis's bump on his head was worse, and yet as I said, it wasnt even looked at. So glad they want to stamp it out!!

My favourite was when Paul Medhurst chased down one of the North boys and laid a brilliant tackle... easily holding the ball. No free kick. Then to try and get rid of the ball the North player punched 'at the ball' but got Medhurst in the face... again no free kick.

As I said numerous times on Saturday, it was all practice for this week against West Coast because we played against the blue and yellow on Saturday as well!

I think the Sinclair on Lonie bump was fair looked it to me but you're right the umpiring was shockingly in favor or the roos if i remember correctly we had a 50 meter penalty given to Rhyce Shaw on the wing but it seemed like the ump only gave us 40? meh whatever we won so it's of no consequence now....am i right though did i see Pendles chase down Wells then get up and lay another tackle ten meters away from that contest? lol hmmm besides the set shot miss kick for goal he was very good!
