Sounds like it has only taken verdoorn a couple of weeks to slip back in to his old ways............ winning a game by awesome solo efforts then letting his temper undo all of his hard work.......as predicted on this site a month ago i said he could turn around carngham's season only if he kepted his cool........I know he likes to consider himself as a "HARD MAN" of the league, but footy comes first!

Your dead right Mudflapper, the man can play footy but he gets excited playing alongside Ryan Pridham (Italian stalion) the mud wrestling champion of the Golden Plains. who i heard had a screamer of a game aswell.

correct, Harris to the Brook, i'd say he was one of them. I see J.Burt has a clearance from Clunes, don't think he's played for a while but this guys 6'5 and used to be very skillful. Mudflapper, Layzerman and anyone with Craft in thier name are obviously tied up with C/L so can u answer a serious one for once, will Ports play this year?. J.Raynor, Porter, Burt, Head to come in, looks ok for the business end of the year

It's hard to imagine a winless team in one District league could go to another and play off in a grand final.

Well done illabrook just when it looked like the club was coming good and were losing the tag of "knuckle heads" they turn back to there old habits. Hats off to them for keeping up such a long tradition of hitting umpires......pull your finger out VCFL......

Big Call. I have played in both leagues in the last 5 years and would be highly suprised if the Ararat side (even containing the above names) would be in the grand final let alone make the five. Moyston/Willaura in the MDFL are currently out of the five and coming of a 150 point smashing, whilst the Eagles are winless on the bottom of the LPFL ladder. Be interesting to see though as the MDFL needs a changing of the guard at the top of the ladder

I agree that this year's eagles side would be pretty good if you added strafehl, corbett, smith, keilar and pitman...however at that time last year there was no indication the Eagles would pick up Will Bell, Brett McArthur, James Dalkin and Jackson Seres, and it looked like the O'Connells were going to leave too.
Based on that I doubt MDFL clubs would have worried about the strength of the Eagles.

When i last saw MDFL i found the talent to be fairly deep in the traditional powers of WLB, GLenthompson, Taty, Rovers, Lismore Eg but dropped away extremely quickly in middle-lower sides.

By looking at results in MDFL and LPFL for that matter it would appear those gaps are decreasing.

tattyoon are running riot iand winning by 100 pts plus a week, skipton are beating everyone but not like that if they played each other in a real game skipton would crush tatty, an mdfl president told me only 3weeks ago the standard has dropped again this year

The current Eagles side plus the mentioned players - Runner-up to Tatyoon, maybe even premiers on a good day...but Hawks followers would never agree!

But like I said, this year's best performing Eagles were not in the picture when the MDFL clubs knocked back the Eagles last year. Take them out and put in Corbett, Strafehl, Smith, Keilar and Pitman and the Eagles would only be on par with a fully fit Rovers, a fully fit Hawkesdale/Macarthur, and marginally better than a fully fit Moyston/Willaura.

BUT he played on saturday with a very ordinary hamstring so if he was gonna go why would he have risked it. Also Ross was using the name natterock earlier in the year on this site so my guess is he's still on here under a new name so TELL US WHAT HAPPENED WITH YOU & HILLY ROSS

when you give a guy a coaching job of a under age side that person should be a well respected person with a calm head and a pleasant nature.Not every one will agree with this but in this case !!!.

The "third" assault (after the final siren) was witnessed by the Illabarook U/17 coach, who objected to the treatment of his player.
Aparrently the Illabarook coach didn't strike C/L goal umpire, but I'm sure it will all come out in the VCFL investigation.

I suggest you asked your Illabrook friends who informed you off this latest incident, to fill you in on a previous act of hitting a goal umpire some years ago......and i also suggest you change your sourse of information , your discription of the incident could not be further from the truth.......
