I feel so sorry for this kid, the hype over the summer has been bigger than that of Ablett and now that he's showing he's not superman he's looking shit by comparison. He's a second year player tbf to him; but without a huge half involving at least (at least I say) one goal get ready for an (unfair IMO) rosating

:(

His first average performance out of 10...move along nothing to see here.

You can thank your Bay13 flogs for the scorn that will now be dumped on him.

However - I reckon he will put it together. There is no doubt the guy has talent.

We had no quick movement into the forward line tonight, Every movement came from a rebound after Freo turned it over, they took a long time, not great for forwards.

Our Ruck problem is much bigger then Jurrah not making the most of the 3-4 chances he had tonight

Jurrah looked rusty, time to shake the cobwebs off now and be fit and firing for round 1. Hawthorn round 1... god help us!

BTW: I HATE SPENCER!!! He's shit, sack him, seriously. I can't stand him, all he does is walk/run around with his tongue sticking out all the time, it's like he's some sort of dog breed, it's pathetic. I can't stand him, honestly. Cut his tongue out or something, it's getting in his way lol

Ruck problem? Self-imposed. Melbourne are a joke!

2008 Draft

1. Melbourne -- Jack Watts (Sandringham Dragons)
2. West Coast Eagles -- Nicholas Naitanui (Swan Districts)

I rest my case - again Victorian bias.

Watts is a KPP which will take time to develop the body required to play to his maximum potential, we haven't made a blunder and for you to say that we have when Watts has played only 3 games shows just how much of a brainless moron you really are.

Naitanui looks like a very good prospect no doubt but by comparing him (a mobile ruckman) to Watts (a key position player) shows again that you are a brainless moron with no idea about football.

Please stop breathing and save oxygen for those that can contribute to society because you clearly can't.

owned. nicely put

NAB Cup..lets not get too carried away. First game of 2010 and he was the number one target at FF for an immature midfield that got beaten. Dropped a few chances he normally would have taken..we will see more of his magic this year, but not necessarily every game.

Boys c'mon. It takes a couple of praccy matches against AFL level sides to get a bit of touch back early season. That's what the NAB Cup and challenge are for.

The skills and structures throughout the NAB Cup have been all over the place. Wait till the real stuff starts.

My mob would've been lucky to hit 50% of their targets on Friday night and even St. Kilda were the same.

Jurrah will be right.

This type of logic won't be tolerated. Over-reactions only please.

He showed glimpses, but after reading so much about him I was a disappointed by his performance.

I don't mean to troll but if you watched him against your mob at the MCG last year you would have gotten an idea of his ability.

I will say though, I'm not sure how, he made Grover look quick-ish...was he carrying an injury of some sort

Think he just had an off game to be honest. His debut season was so good that expectations were almost at ridiculous levels for this season.

Jurrah loves the MCG, he's played there 4 times for 14 goals.

Just wait til round 1.

What so he can't play anywhere else. He was poor last night and looked to have a limited tank on a bigger ground.

He's a better player then that and will click but he needs more miles in his legs or he'll be continually exposed.

Clearly the bigger ground didn't suit him. Considering we only play there once or twice a year, i'm willing to take that.

Agreed. Delivery to the forwards was infrequent and when it came it was poor. Jurrah was off but taking the number one defender is tough for anyone in their 10th game.

We should have kept Robbo as a veteran shield for our younger forwards Jurrah, Watts, Wona etc. Robbo is a match winner and would always need a quality defender. He probably would have kept the media off Bailey and co's back by getting us over the line a few times this year as well.
