Thanks for that timmytow.

Im still nto convinced as he is sooo skinny and the competition doesnt look very good.

On the other hand his ball handling and athleticism are excellent and these highlights are all from just 1 game so a rookie spot if hes prepared to come all the way over would be ok with me.

On that footage, I'd put him on the rookie list. It's not like we could do worse than Newton.

haha, true. He look's ok, but once again... he's skinny frame bothers me lol (not saying he couldn't bulk up but... still)

I was thinking about his body frame, I'm worried if he were to put on weight he may lose speed & his leap.

On that footage alone, I wouldn't take him.

He looks like a good player performing well in a bad competition, and his skills don't really set the world on fire either.

Having said that, one youtube clip is an appalling basis from which to make a judgement, and there looks to be a lot to work with in terms of his athletic ability, so he might be worth a punt.

Would need to be with a late pick though, at any rate.

The fact that he seems pretty undeveloped physically would appear to make him something of a project player.

Nice drop-in there Fav :thumbsu:

Yeah, if we somehow ended up being able to have him just with a rookie pick, that'd be great... as long as it doesn't interfere with us redrafting Meesen of course.

The guy behind Liam Jurrah is a regular over at Nicks and he said

As it stands he'll most certainly be drafted by the Hawks or Demons, but I'd love Collingwood to snare him - but so far they have not spoken to him.

You would think the Hawks would be in the box seat unless you will draft him with 34? your last pick I think. But there is a chance he could slide to the rookie draft.

I wouldn't use 34. I'm only going from the vision which is dangerous but he doesn't look as smooth and clean with the ball as I like.

I'm not sold. I'll consider him for rookie def but we don't have a rookie spot. unless hawks pick up Meesen which i'm not too fussed about.

I watched him play yesterday against Buffalo's and he has silky smooth skills....rarely fumbles. Had a great game, lacks a little on the decision making side of things at times. Was listed as second best on ground yesterday, however is a class above alot of other youngsters running around NTFL.

Very lightly built, however rarely gets a hand laid on him.

He'd be a speculative late pick who would need a bit of work before AFL, well that's what alot thought about Jurrah also, so you never know.

Not sold on his little rats tail though:D

Looking forward to seeing some young Dees on the paddock next year, you guys will have some real talent and lets hope Grimes injury days are behind him......How is his back?

Good luck:thumbsu:

would he be worth a go at 34? being a ruck/forward, he could be quite handy. or do we hold out and have a crack at 50? i reckon he'll be gone by then though :(

Based on what I've seen, which admittedly isn't much, he looks like a rookie list prospect.

I wouldn't take him at 34, and 50 may even be a bit of a stretch.

However, he has plenty of athletic ability and potential, so he could be worth a look.

From what I've seen he doesn't have the clean skills of Jurrah, and despite his athleticism he is only 185cm and won't be able to play in the ruck at AFL level. So really to me that makes him an extremely exciting and athletic player but not someone who you can rely on. What is his best positiong going to be, backline, wing, forward? So I'd have him toward the end of the draft or rookie draft, similar to Majak Daw.

Agree with that (again, only from watching a couple of videos)... if I had to choose between him and Daw I'd go for Daw.

I figure he could play the third man up role as he's got the jump to do it, & since he's a pretty accurate kick on goal I'd put him as a loose man in the F50.

Between him & Daw I'd pick Patrick, though I don't really know why, just a feeling I guess.

Me too, though only due to the age and size. If LP was 18 i would prefer him but him physical development is not where I would want a mature age recruit to be at. Daw though very inconsistent had some Nic Nat about him. Hard to tell with these players they become the medias love childs and people start to believe they are/will be superstars cos they put together a few moments of brillance. Rookie for each of them is my guess.

you can't teach someone to be a footballer. If it came down to Daw and Patrick i'd choose Patrick by a mile. I'd say he'll end up a mid size forward who with a few years development could end up being a gun. Daw will never play an AFL game. Bookmark it

What am I saying ???? I would take LP anyday!

way to revolutionalise the game....put a loose man in the forward 50!
