I'm not proud of saying "I told you so" but I remember saying the end of last year that he should give it away. He's been ordinary the first two rounds but tonight he's been absolutely dreadful - I don't think a kick has hit a target. And it's not only his actual disposal that's been poor, it's his decision making - the pick to I think Toovey on a two on one near the centre square was abysmal

Time to give it away.
 
If I smash the TV tonight, I'm blaming him... He's bloody disgraceful.

Got a free at about the 16 minute mark in the 2nd quarter, and straight away, turned it over. How can you not hit a target off a stop in play?

Driving me insane.

P.S. Collingwood has an amazing D1ck... It does everything!
 
Also if Byran doesn't get a gig next week, I think I'll set up to the ruck duties.

...just before the kids come on too, I'm happy to say he's been a fantastic servant of the club, and I have absolutely no problem with the bloke. I just want him to be remembered and revered as a two-time Copeland winner, not as the bloke who turned into the turnover merchant he become.

On a side note though, another bloke I've bagged for a couple of years has been terrific not only tonight but very good the first two games - Tarkyn Lockyer. I'm more than happy with his improvement.

What the hell game were you watching..... he was one of best tonight!! I think you all have rocks in your heads. He is still working into the game, and he played very well. He did have some clangers yes, but not nearly as many as previous weeks and I think he played quite well. He was back in and under packs like he should be!!

To say you would blame him if we lost is a disgrace!!
 
He had 25 possessions and no influence. That is almost impossible. Time is up. But he is one of Mick's favs so he will continue to get a game. I'm hoping when it comes time that blokes like Didak, Johnson, Clement, Buckley and so on come back into the side that the young fellas arn't scape goated to keep Licuria in the side. I really worry about this.
 
Didnt have an influence my ass!! He gav some very good passes onto the chest of both Rocca and Travis. He was in and under the packs last night and was very good. His time is up when MM and he say it is. Until then, unless you have nothing positive to say, then dont bother.

Your a disgrace, he is still valuable to our side at the moment, and last night showed why.

What a load of rubbish - exactly when did he pass the ball on to the chest of Rocca and Cloke - I challenge you to name the passages of play.

Simply did not happen. Slow crab like sideways ball movement and crucial fumbles characterised his play again. A zero impact performance - his time is up.

Did you go to the game, coz I did and I watched him like a hawk all night and he butchered, fumbled and over ran the ball all night. He is a warrior, but an aging warrior who has lost watever pace he had. At one stage Scotty Burns made him look slow. I mean come on. He was terrible for a bloke that had 25 disposals. And it was obvious around the whole ground that people were gasping when ever Licca went near it. He was copping some serious heat.

And obviously you luvlicca. You're female, and he is a good looking fella. And he has been a good player, but his time is up. And like someone said earlier, if this continues he will not be remembered for winning 2 copeland trophies. And that will be very very sad. The writing is on the wall.

And there is no reason to call anyone a disgrace by the way.

I don't think he was anywhere as bad as you guys are making out. He definitely had a fairly ineffective night but he got heaps of the ball.

I think he started off slow last year as well. Either way it's only round 3. Give it some time before calling for his head.

So because I'm a female and I think he is good looking, this automatically makes it ok for you to assume I dont know what I'm talking about?? Because this is the impression I get. I have been watching footy all my life, I know what I'm talking about!! If I didnt I wouldnt bother posting in here with half of you. Cause sometimes I think you dont know what your talking about either!!

And I can call anyone a disgrace if I want to. Its my opinion and no one else has to agree. The way some of you are bagging the shit out of not only Licuria, but others not doing so well right now, is a disgrace.
We should be finding positives not negatives. And all I see is a thread of negative attitudes towards the man.

His game on Friday night by no means was his best, but it was a much better improvement than the previous ones. There are only a handful people who agree with me on that. The rest of you well, what can I say.
He will get there. He does every year. He still has a lot to offer the team. It is not up to any of us if he stays in the side or gets dropped. Its up to the coaching staff. And until they decide he isn't doing his job, he will be in the side. How about showing him a bit of respect. I think he has earnt it!!

So now you play the sexist card. Ridiculous. I said "you obviously love Licca, you're female and he is a good looking bloke". At no stage did I say you know nothing about football because you are female and to suggest that is a pathetic excuse to try and make me look bad and sexist because you are not happy with my statement that Licuria is struggling. You are putting words in my mouth, and playing a card that is just utter stupidity.

Licuria has been a great player, and a warrior for the CFC, and his committment to the club and on the ground is always 100%, but his pace, and disposal are letting him down, as well as his decision making. If he keeps it up he is in a lot of trouble of being on the outer.

And at no stage would I call you a disgrace for putting forth your opinion, so there is no need to say it about me. ANd I am done with this topic.
 
Licca was good when he played a tagging role and used his hands more than his feet.

Now - he is a shell of that player and is really struggling to be a senior player who can change a game. I cannot remember the last time he significantly influenced a win for us.

He certainly knows how to get to a ball but he does not know how to use it. He butchers the footy and in this game turnovers kill you.

The ball he kicked to Burns in the pocket that could easily have had Burns smashed was disgraceful. Burns was a mile free and a smart footballer would have at least kept it low and let Burns keep the ball in front of him. Instead Licca kicks it 3 metres over his head.

I think we would be better served giving his role to Iles or Davies. Iles is hard it, fit as a bull and a nice kick.

There is one major difference between the side competing for a premiership and the sides not, and it's the most important part of the game, and infact Bucks wrote an article about it this week. It is foot skills.

The reason WCE beat us 2 weeks back was foot skills. We matched them with hard running and toughness, but we turned the ball over, and they hit targets. Licca can win the ball, and works his bum off. But this is where he struggles.
 
i think his end is a closer than people like to think, he has been a super servant of the footy club but he is slower and turning the ball over more than ever, and he doesn't seem to have a role to play.

Great comment Snoop Dog, should have been a regulation 15m pass and would've seen Burnsy lining up for goal. Lica aka NATO couldn't hit the side of a barn, and in this modern day footy, turnovers will kill you.
 
I personally didnt think he had a bad game compared to the previous 2, and he certaintly worked harder and got his hands on the ball more, but yes it was his kicking that let him down....though a couple of his passes were quite good the rest were pretty average. I still think he warrants another 2 to 3 matches before he is chopped, in the past few years he hasnt really come bursting out of the block like most of the other blokes, 2006 i believe he carried an ankle injury for the first half of the season Until round 5 or 6, I'm still happy to see him in the side but unfortunately i hate to admit it as he is my favourite player, he will probs be spending the rest of his time in the 2s unless he improves a bit more (or dramatically as some people put it). If he is in a dramatic demise its very very sad :( Come on licca i know ur better than this!
